They still tend to school up but not as concentrated. And the schools will give you an indication of what depths they are working. The singles will still be associated with that depth so that give you a target range and then one you catch one, suspicion confirmed.
Okuma 354D is what I’m using small and light with an excellent drag the line counter has been holding up well. The line counter seems to be the first thing to fail on line counters. I’ve been using the reels for over a year now and no problems so far.
@@fairplayfishing I have a Daiwa Lexa 300 that I love for shallow waterRockfish /ling cod. I was considering buying a Lexa 100 with line counter, but several anglers report problems with the clicker. Do you find the clicker is important for your trolling?
Dear RUclipsr. Please turn the music level down 75% I don't know why content producers think we want to hear loud music that's 3x as loud as the speech. Thx for listening
Clicker, Not in fresh water so much especially with Kokanee and trout they don’t pull it out of the release often. Unless you’re at Pyramid Lake. The rod tip is more of the tell especially with longer set backs. Not sure how the line counters would survive in the salt water. Even the level winds can have problems.
Thanks for a great video with nice music and excellent editing! Much appreciated, Skipper!
Thanks for the words of encouragement, so glad you liked it
Tight Lines

When scanning marking this time of year, how can you tell if you’re marking Kokanee or trout?

Thanks. interesting to see the afternoon bite be so active. Now it’s off to Pyramid Lake
What kind of line counter fishing reels do you like to use for Kinney and rainbow trout?
