Splint mail is usually strips of metal attached to cloth or leather, sometimes overlapping, sometimes not. I usually think of it as halfway between Lamellar and Scale mail (though I'd say equally weighted chain mail really falls into the same relative functionality range). Quality and density of materials will significantly increase/decrease protection effectiveness. Almost armor has its uses though, with particular types providing better protection from different kinds of damage, an arrow, sword, dagger, or mace all demand a different kind of protection. Plate mail is great against blades and arrows, but not so great if someone can slide a blade between the fitted segments and quite susceptible to concussion attacks (like maces). Like almost everything in our lives, there's a tradeoff between cost/quality, maneuverability, and protection and getting all three is reserved for only the very best stuff.
Light armor works fairly good if you manage to find a two-handed spear in the catacombs. Strikes + Maneuvering in Armour are mandatory skills in such playthrough.
@@haron5811 Sometimes it spawns in one of the chests inside the catacombs. When it does not, an easy way is to get killed (e.g. by jumping into the abyss) and load the game again. Your character will be standing at the entrance to the catacombs and after going into the catacombs all the loot in the chests will be generated again.
Next run we have a deal: Kill Derrin the moment he speaks to you 🤣🤣 But I have a question, can you revive and minionize him at that low level? If not, I have read Bubazh comment, can you make it a zombie minions run? Till there's no zombies, of course ^^
