    What decides that the offset is 30°? Is it just esthetic/ease of wire pull preference?

    Put your level on the bender handle, for 30 degrees the bender handle will be at a 90 with the ground also when doing the second bend keep your left hand closer to the bender using pressure, you bow the conduit when you try to bend farther back

    Add 30° shrink 1/4 per inch ×2.5
