    I love your RUclips videos. Your approach to painting is fresh and alive. One of the best things that I have been able to take away from the viewing experience, was your tip about painting on 300 pound watercolor paper when you travel, and gluing them to wooden cradled panels later, for gallery type displays, or selling. Also, very important, naming your paintings before you start, and using a thesaurus.
    I've been a maker since I was a child, enjoying creating with anything I can get my hands on.
    My favorite for the last 3 years, is painting abstracts with acrylics. Took a weekend intuitive abstract class with Paula Jones out of Bentonville Arkansas, and have been hooked ever since.
    But it was watching you "paint loosely," make carrot people and do "warm ups first thing every day" that freed me up from worrying about "wasting" paint and paper... things that used to keep me from just enjoying the process.
    You truly are a great instructor, and one day, I hope I will get to come to one of your workshops.
    Sincerely,
    becs(with a little b)Middleton

    I love the way you pull in all your life experiences into your paintings, Bob. Reminds me of Frieda Kahlo. I’m having a knee replacement surgery soon, Sept. 11th of all dates. I’m thinking about ways I can pull in that experience and maybe all the years I’ve put it off-about 15 years! Or more. I even walked all over Tuscany with this bad knee. That should mean something! Anyway love the way you work. Wish I had the energy and time it takes. I Will Do It! Even while recovering.

    is there a place where i can find how big the brushes are that you suggest?

    • @1Ma9iN8tive
      @1Ma9iN8tive 5 лет назад

      Gail Cullen - just get yourself a range of brushes -> 2+ to 4 inches minimum for large brushes, several square and rounded brushes...use edges of utensils, scrapers, scratchers, etc...use fingers ... just go large.
