Mods like these are the reason why game developers should design their game to be easily moddable. The ability for mod makes to fix and improve the game other the coming years are priceless. Take a game like Skyrim for instance. I seriously doubt that Skyrim would be this popular for so many years without mods. Skyrim earned a LOT more money because of it. It baffles me that Bethesda, knowing that this sort of mod has been a thing for their last few games to solve this EXACT issue, doesn't implement a toggle to go from, say, "simple" to "complex" view of their menus. Way back in yesteryear, I had the opinion that I would never mod a game until I had completed it. Then I played skyrim and saw how the menus were structured. *THE* modding tool? :) There will be many modding tools over the next few months/years. Do you mean the official tool from Bethesda? Like the Creation Kit for Skyrim, or the GECK for Fallout 3? Because if so, in the case of mods like this, the official modding tool they will ship is unlikely to be able to do any of this anyway. Essentially, if a mod comes with an ESM, ESP or ESL, the official modding tool is irrelevant really. So you're going to still get a lot of mods made without it even once it's here.
Just one feature request, let me lock items so i can dump everything in the container, except what's locked. That would make this already perfect mod even perfecter. ;-P

The speed at which they got this out was truly amazing, a total game changer for me, I can't play Skyrim without SkyUI, it's the same for this gem. Now we just need the mod to fix all their screwed up keybinds.
The mod is nice for those who like it, but what i really don’t need is for a million different mods to require me to install it for absolutely no reason. I prefer skyrim’s vanilla ui to skyiu since i play on controller. So i use “skyui away”. If mods start REQUIRING star ui again I’m gonna be kinda irritated.
If mods made other mods a requirement with absolutely no reason, you should 100% avoid those mods. Something is very very wrong if a mod author makes his mod dependant upon another artificially. I don't know of any that did that though, at least not deliberately. Most of the mods I know that required SkyUI did so because they used some of it's features: MCM or HUD Widgets.
@@GophersVids I don’t understand why skyui is needed for mcm. It isn’t in fallout, but I don’t really know the specifics on it since I’m not a modder. I just know ui mods should be a preference thing. But skyui started to become a requirement thing to where it felt like if wanted to use anything interesting. It’s been a while since I looked at my load order, but I think someonething as lite and vanilla as immersive armors and weapons required some kind of index that also needed sky ui.
@@TeryonTheHuman *"I don’t understand why skyui is needed for mcm."* - MCM didn't require SkyUI. It was part of SkyUI. SkyUI was a complete UI overhaul. It changed almost every aspect of the UI including adding a "Mod Configuration Menu". Of course you could disable most of it too, either via another mod, or the MCM itself eventually, and just leave the MCM.
@@GophersVids which is my point. i had to use skyui away by some of the same mod authors who made skyui to doaway with it. The point is fallout didnt make me change the ui to use mcm. I just downloaded it and it worked with no bells and whistles no changes to anything forced on me. So I don’t understand why skyrim’s mcm needed a whole user interface mod just to get to the mcm. I would much prefer starfield’s mcm to take more after fallout than skyrim in that regard.
@@TeryonTheHuman *". The point is fallout didnt make me change the ui to use mcm."* - That's because the mod author of MCM for FNV made it as a standalone mod. But he left the modding scene right around the release of Skyrim. So a similar feature was taken up by the SkyUI team and added to that mod. They kept the name MCM to honour Pelinor (the original author), but it was never made as a seperate mod in Skyrim. It was always just another feature of the user interface mod. The MCM didn't *need* all the other features of SkyUI to work. But then the spell menu didn't need the inventory to work either. Had SkyUI not added the feature, I am not sure anybody else would have stepped up and created that mod. At least not early on. Back then, UI modders were quite rare because it was a whole new technology for Skyrim. We were all learning new tool and new languages.
I'm not sure if any of the mods I've covered are on any other sites. You could google it I guess, and see if a mod you want can be found somewhere else, but there should be no issue with using Nexus anyway. It's free (unless you want to go premium).
i was supposed to play 1st play trough vanilla ... here i go mod n:5 Got enchanted healthbar BetterHUD Cargomax (keeping ship cargo vanilla .... but its so stupid to build 50 containers in outpost and its STILL FULL all the time.. Like seriously WHY big non movable container can hold less stuff than my character xD ) Dont remember the name but mod that lowered register fee now mine is 25% instead if games own .. 90-80% >< and now im totally getting this too xD
My biggest problem is the lack of basic info on the inventory menu. Its just so awful. I don't want to see renders of stuffs I want to see info on em . Whoever designed the menu was high or something
There are so many little tweaks and big changes that modders made to Skyrim and Fallout that Bethesda SHOULD have taken a look at and implemented in Starfield. Playing Starfield before this mod was a bit of an irritation because information was spread out so much, after this mod came out it legitimately makes me angry that Bethesda doesn’t pay attention to their community. Just a quick glance through Nexus, or even the Creation Club content, could have told them what people wanted in their games.
SkyUI is still the number 1 must-have mod for Skyrim, and I'm glad Starfield got its version so early
This is going to get so much mileage, with how early in the game's lifespan it came out ^^

Why in the misc section I have yellow wheel icons?
Modders gotta fix Beth shit again lol !
Hopefully they can fix the Starmap....
It would be great if you put alternative sites (if exists) to download the mods since I don't use nexus.
I'm not sure if any of the mods I've covered are on any other sites. You could google it I guess, and see if a mod you want can be found somewhere else, but there should be no issue with using Nexus anyway. It's free (unless you want to go premium).
can someone helped me? I tried all the steps and the mod doesn't seem to work at all
Does this stop achievements?
i was supposed to play 1st play trough vanilla ... here i go mod n:5
Got enchanted healthbar
BetterHUD
Cargomax (keeping ship cargo vanilla .... but its so stupid to build 50 containers in outpost and its STILL FULL all the time.. Like seriously WHY big non movable container can hold less stuff than my character xD )
Dont remember the name but mod that lowered register fee now mine is 25% instead if games own .. 90-80% ><
and now im totally getting this too xD
LOL, same here, and have about 15 or so now.... though all QoL stuff. So no game changing ones
- Todd, should we make a proper UI this time?
- No, let the modders figure it out.
they did make a proper ui but people just don't like it
I don't like that they replaced all the weapon icons with generic ones...
I'm glad this mod exists, but it shouldn't have had to be made.
i thought the ui was fine
im sad mods dont work with microsoft store version....
This mod will. It's the script extender, and any mods requiring it, that won't work with the MS version.
Cant wait for HamUI! MMmmm... tasy...
