  • First and foremost, thank you for being here! I want to clarify, at 11:08 when I mention the groin and the breast solution is "the same", I don't mean it is the same formula as the hand/foot/underarm; I mean the breast and groin solutions are the same as one another :)

Hi Jen - I saw this video today and it absolutely made my day. I was almost tearing up when I heard how much Carpe was able to help during your wedding - congratulations, by the way! We've worked every day for years to bring Carpe to people, and to keep developing more and more effective formulas (we've got something big planned for later this year). It's all worth it when we hear from someone who had a better day thanks to Carpe. We know our current formulas aren't perfect yet, and that's why we have never stopped our research and development since the day we started working on the first Carpe formula. But whenever we create something that we believe is better than anything else out there, we launch it. We're going to do everything we can to keep fighting sweat, and to keep fighting hyperhidrosis. Thank you so much for sharing your experience!

Hi Kasper! I am so happy you found my video and enjoyed watching, it has made MY day receiving a comment from you! Thank you for the congratulations on my wedding day, as well
The products produced by you & Carpe genuinely did make my wedding day 1,000 times less stressful/anxiety-inducing. The relief I felt knowing I would be mostly dry and not pouring sweat droplets all over the dance floor & my loved ones was unparalleled! So thank you a million times over for producing Carpe, because it actually WORKS!
Hearing that you are continuing to research and develop even more effective formulas is magnificent, and I would LOVE to give these new & improved products a try when I am able to!
Again, thank you very much for designing an effective product for people like me, our community really appreciates it. Let us both keep fighting sweat and continue to raise awareness about this condition as much as we can :)
I hope you are having a wonderful day!!!

I felt alone abd was humiliated in school, it caused problems with driving, dating, social situations, parties and ofcourse the outcome of what career I could choose. So nothing with computers or anything thst could break from me touching it. I hope you tried this product and it worked for you? Let us know! Sweaty Jen I’ve been using Drysol on my armpits for about a year now. Works well, but can sting/itch sometimes, so that’s annoying. I was prescribed Glycopyrrolate by my derm back in the Fall, but I never ended up starting it. Was always concerned about side effects too. Now that the weather is warming up though, I may have to give it a shot. I was gonna look into Carpe or SweatBlock products as well. The underarm sweating is annoying but the craniofacial sweating is what really messes with my social life.

    • @SweatyJen
      @SweatyJen  4 года назад +2

Yes, I can totally imagine how the craniofacial sweating has a big impact on your social life in comparison with underarm sweat. I wish people just would keep their comments about our sweating to themselves. Surprisingly a large amount of people have hyperhidrosis, it is just so NOT talked about! So, it always shocks me that people feel the need to go out of their way to question us about why we are sweating lol.
I used drysol as a really young kid, and it was so painful and hard to apply being so young that I stopped using it. I did notice it worked a little bit, but it HURT. The carpe does not hurt at all in my experience. I would say it was similar effectiveness to drysol, without the feeling like you're getting stung by a thousand wasps.
I would definitely say give the glycopyrrolate a shot if you want to. Your derm prescribed it to you so they think it has a good chance of working and that the benefits may outweigh the risks. If you do decide to take it, make sure you do not eat 2 hours before or 1 hour after you take the pill. And, of course, notify your derm if you notice any strange side effects or if it isn't working. They can adjust/change things accordingly and I find it gives me a lot of peace of mind to keep them updated about how I'm feeling so I know everything is okay (I'm a worry wart lol). Lastly, I have used both products at once (the glyco and the carpe), since they do not cause any harmful interaction with one another which is good :)
I hope this helps in some way, sorry for going on a huge ramble session haha!

  • @Lexicurls

hi queen! Sweaty gal here! Thank you so much for making this. YES the fan is key. I've found a really helpful way to have more dry days.. this might help you be able to put the carpe on in a less frustrating way.
I wake up dripping sweat almost every morning. I have really severe Palmar Plantar HH. When I'm having a sweaty episode, its pretty much my whole body, though. You know the kind, sopping wet, puddles on the desk, dripping down your arms, soaking through your shoes lol. So severe that an HH specialist at Georgetown Hospital in DC told me I was one of the worst cases he had ever seen.
BUT every morning I take a lukewarm/warmish shower for about 5 minutes then stay in for 10 minutes on cool to cold. That sequence of heat is important because if its too cold at the beginning, it will set off a nervous system response, but you want to end the shower basically shivering. When I get out of the shower, I have a fan going REALLY hard. like it is an industrial strength fan from vornado. Yes, it's cold and miserable but worth it for me. Here is the most important part: once i'm dry, I literally sit on the floor with my hands and feet in front of the fan, make sure my feet are as dry as possible, then put TWO pairs of socks on. This is the catalyst. Not sure why but something about the compression soothes the nervous system response. Then, sit in front of the fan for 5-10 minutes drinking cold water and sometimes have an ice pack around. You'll know when your dry because you just get this sensation of coolness, calmness, dryness.
This is a daily 15-30 min long process but its so worth it for me. Then I am dry all day unless I exercise, get hot or really nervous. And if I do get sweaty, because sometimes its inevitable, I have the comfort of knowing once I get home, I can hop in the shower, do my routine and make it stop. This has taken me from sweating excessively 90% of the time, to literally being dry 25% of my life. Any sweaty peeps give it a try and let me know if this routine helps you.

I find it very fascinating that you have found a way to control your sweating in a natural way through temperature, thank you very much for taking the time to type it out and share it with us!
I completely know that cool/calm/dry feeling that washes over us and we just know we are finally going to not be sweating for awhile. I will definitely give your method a try next time I shower and see how it affects me, it sounds like it will be great in the hot weather.
I've also heard cold water is really good for smoothing our hair cuticle and making it shine so itll be a win-win situation!

Only recommend as an absolute last resort but reading your experience, I know how much it impacts your life and how terrible it can be. Something to consider, but please be careful if you do try it. I have the one for hands, feet, underarms, face, thigh, and under breast. My hands sweat so easily that it’s gotten to the point that if I THINK about them sweating, they’ll start to sweat. Hello!! My advice is, if you have the financial viability to buy the set of 3, you should. Having them all in separate packaging is good because then it keeps things clear and simple. But, if you are on a budget, the hand and foot cream is the exact same formula. So, you can safely use the hand cream on your feet, too!

My hands have been a problem for a while, I'm not that old but I totally understand all of this. I play guitar and saxophone, and you can't have your fingers slip while playing during a performance. I also play video games quite frequently, and obviously anyone's hands would sweat while playing but mine become an ocean. I can place my hand on a desk at school and you could just see the print. I just got my package and just put it on, I hope it works, but if it doesn't I wouldn't have anything to compare it to because this is my first time using any sweat reducing products.

@@SweatyJen Hello Jen. You've so many views, and a lot of comments. despite of all that, you keep replying on my comments. I really appreciate it. I don't know what should I say about Carpe. because my experience wasn't perfect with it. I used to use drysol and it was very itchy and it burned me many times, but Carpe was gentle, this is what I liked about it. What I didn't like about Carpe is that its effects last for only 3 days or less (out of 3 nights of applying). This is disappointed for me. I know I should use it for longer times, but with all hyperhidrosis products I used before, 3 to 4 nights of applying is enough to see results that last to 1 week at least. To be clear, I was diagnosed by a doctor that I have severe hyperhidrosis.
You might ask what I'm using now? as long as I think Carpe wasn't that effective in my case, I use it know as a second choice. I use now a product called Antihydral as my main cream for hyperidrosis it is great. Tell me if you want to hear my experience with it. Will I order Carpe again? maybe. Will I give it another chance using it for long time (1 or 2 weeks of use daily) maybe. Thank you.

I know how bad hypohydrosis can be. For some reason I outgrew it, but growing up with it was fucking hell. People who don't have it have no idea how debilitating it can be. Taking 5 showers a day,, skin raw from the constant moisture, soaps, deodorants etc, and not to menton the mental anguish and absolute exhaustion from constantly fighting a unwinnable war with your body. The only thing I found that helped was opiates. Started in middle school with oxycontin which quickly escalated to heroin a few years later. Once I discovered that they completely stopped my sweating I started taking massive amounts. How fucked up is it that the only thing that stopped it was injecting black Tar heroin. Obviously this led to other issues. Addiction, drug charges, rehabs,, jails, prison, wife dying of overdose. Im 30 now and still take methadone so I honestly don't know if I outgrew it or the opiates are still preventing me from sweating. I wish this was around when I was younger. I often wonder what my life would look like if not for hypohydrosis. I'm glad that products like this exist today to hopefully help people avoid the all encompassing hell that it can be to have to live with it. Good luck everyone.

I've heard of Carpe, but haven't tried it yet. I also tried Drysol a long time ago and it didn't work too well so that is probably why I got turned off to other topical treatments. It might be worth a try. Do you still use it now with the Glyco, or just one or the other?
My hands were pretty dry for the past month or so, but then this past week i've been sweating a lot again! I think it is mental since I have been changing things around with my job, but also since the weather is warming up, that encourages it as well.

As for the hands and feet, I'm thinking of incorporating them a little bit to help with breakthrough sweating on the glyco. I'll include updates about that in a future video for sure :)

I use an oral anticholinergic called robinul for full body hyperhidrosis. I mostly get forehead sweat to the point where it looks like my hairline is crying. It's really really bad. But, that is just the starting point... because after that it becomes full body sweat. Robinul works, however, the side effects are rough. It completely dries you out and your mouth becomes so dry where it is very hard to talk and you get a sore throat. I would like to try targeting my sweat with products like CARPE.... instead of just eliminating all moisture to the point of not speaking.

Isk why but back in 5th grade, we were required to take these dance classes for some kind of dancing contest. The problem was that this was the type with handholding partners. And on top of that, we also had to rotate partners.
I think this was actually the first time i realized just how sweaty my hands were. I remember the next boy that camr my way had to prepare themselves either by shielding their hands with their sleeves or simply by holding my wrist. Some ended up holding my hand anyways but complained all the way through until the next rotation happened.
Lookinh back on it, i dont even feel too bad about it anymore, just a little sad and annoyed by the whole thing.
However, i still do struggle with said sweaty hands and it's seriously affecting my social life

I recommend to use a standard paintbrush or even silicone paintbrush to apply the product if you want to not get your hands involved! Silicone paintbrushes will allow you to apply the product without wasting any, where as a normal paintbrush will waste more product by absorbing it. I hope this makes sense, and helps! Hi Jen; I just ordered this for the face. I only ordered 1 bttl for every 3 months. Me and my best friend are in our forties and would you believe I can't wear makeup because it ends up on my shirt, or paper towel. It sucks. I love make up and so does she. So, I ran across this, I will let you know what happens. OMG I'm so excited. I don't care about what it smells like, or feels like, I need to be a girlie girl (cuz we are :) and wear pretty things with my makeup on my face and not my shirt haha.

The battle of hyperhidrosis and the serious hindrance that it puts on trying to connect with our feminine side is very real, and it can feel SO frustrating at times. But, there is hope! • @SweatyJen
      @SweatyJen  4 года назад +1

Hi Tray, thanks for watching & commenting :)
It is hard to say if I think Carpe is better than Drysol. The reason it is hard, is because I was very young when I used Drysol (like, below 14 years old).
I remember the Drysol stung my hands a lot, left a film, and didn't seem to work that well for me. On the other hand, Carpe does not sting at all for me, and it worked well to reduce my sweating as long as I applied it according to the instructions (you have to be strict about applying it).
Since you have been using Drysol as a treatment, I do think you might like trying Carpe products! They have a money-back guarantee, so you can always return the product if you're just not into it. I would love to hear what you think of the two products compared together as someone who has used Drysol recently. Of course, make sure to let your doctor know you are going to try out a new treatment so they can be sure it is safe.
I hope this helped and to hear from you soon :)

I’ve got carpe and it’s been great so far, but the only issue have had with it is when I had graduation and my hands still sweat even though they were dry before.
