The Chinese era is so mysterious and intriguing. Idk why I became so obsessed with the album and time period, but I did. I think the album just encompasses so many styles, players, and years, that it’s not hard to wonder why it took so long and read into it. Also Axl just looked so BA from 99-2002
Because the album sounds too overproduced I like most of the demos better, but otherwise I can only agree with you! I might edit a documentary about the Era CD soon. I've wanted to do it for at least as long as I've wanted to do this music video.
@@LT-TV90 You should! I’m surprised there hasn’t been an in-depth documentary on the album, but then again Axl still has yet to really open up about that era. Would love for him to write a book.
Thank you very much! I'm very pleased to be able to bring joy to a certain core of fans! I'll see what can be done, because at some point all the good scenes will have already been used, as unfortunately there is only limited material available from this very specific time period. I was recently thinking about making a video for KOHD Leeds02 soon, but first I have something else in the works, from 2009. I would also like to revise this video for the better at some point, because if you compare this 10 month old video with my few weeks old The General video (or my most recent, to SCOM), you can see that there is a big difference. I would leave the scenes alone, but I would still change some of the settings. That would make the whole thing look better. But as I said, at some point in time. Thanks for your comment!
I love th Chinese Democracy era, it was more electronic, modern, it renewed my interest in GNR. The line up was also right at the time, they were younger, funkier musicians like Buckethead, DJ Ashba, Bumblefoot, Richard Fortus, Frank Ferrer and many more. Axl had moved with times and Chinese Democracy was a very underrated album, but people are listening to it again and seeing what great songs are on it 🤩😍🥰😘💋❤️🔥🤟❤️💯💯
Thank you very much for this great comment! I have edited an even better video for The General, which unfortunately I won't be able to share on RUclips for the foreseeable future because my account would then be deleted immediately... Whatever. Maybe I'll rework this Chinese Democracy video to make it as watchable as The General! In any case, I was very pleased with your comment, thank you again 🤗
I'll say this it's OK. Its not the guns we know. This really should have been a side project. Called anything else but gnr. Like slash had snake pit. Which has got alot of good stuff on . Either way . We are not gonna get anything out of these guys of anything new . I don't think that these guy's, original 5 . I don't think that they have anything in the archives they can pull out from back in the day that be a whole album. I don't think that Axl can really write anything thats irrelevant today that would make sense.
@Galactrix I did go an look. They kinda forgot 1 to . That they do play from to time. When they 1st got back together. And I can't get off my head. Man I'm pissed. So for me they got 12 songs. As the original lineup. Original. Which would be 1 album. I give you that . But that's it . Some of them maybe not good enough to be on any album to. But either way they need the original member with izzy and steven . Get izzy working with slash again. You got gnr magic. Gnr sound. I'm sure if they all just split the money equal, izzy be there. A lot of big egos there on who's making more money. Even at there ages. And I'm sure izzy has got some good gnr sounding riffs lock up over the years. That we'd all would know. Like those songs you did point out. Because for me Chinese Democracy, wasn't gnr. Everyone wants to say it is and that's because they hear Axl. I'm not saying it's a bad album. I mean even when slash and duff kinda rework on a Democracy song. It still don't sound like gnr. So I didn't even look at that column. It's just not original gnr . Got to bring that back. Original. You will have that raw gnr we know and love. Right now you got the cash and grab tour. Thanks for showing me that. Really good stuff
I have this song recorded with the 2002 lineup that was going to be released in 2003, whenever I publish it people ignore it, preferring the horrible live versions like this one
