The sight vs memories question hits close to home. I wear glasses and have been for the last 5 years of my life. Even with my vision slowly deteriorating I would still rather lose it completely than my memories. I dont think I could truly enjoy life with perfect vision and not have the memories to follow me around.

My therapist described me as an “optimistic nihilist” which he defined as: it is what it is, but it’s up to us to make the best of that.
Ironically the “this is coming out after Barbie has been out for a while” quote does not apply to me, I literally watched it last night for the first time and was so happy to see this when I woke up. 😂❤❤
Oh wow! That would you rather question Hit me really hard. I am fully blind and went blind in 2016. I am used to living as a blind person now and I can't even imagine what it would be like to lose all my memories. I wouldn't even get to enjoy having my site back.

2nd Question: If OP is doing ALL the cleaning what's the "equal chore" Because I have a townhouse and cleaning is like 90% of housework. The other is laundry/cutting grass but at least IMO I don't see those as equal time and I do ALL those.

I don't understand how people can live with moldy food and insects everywhere. That's just insane to me. I would have to bolt and figure out where to live later.

(Spoilers) Funnily enough, memories are what broke me in Barbie because of all the flashbacks that played through that I think a lot of girls, like my lil sis, have retained growing up, and that I know were things I've experienced by my mother's recollection, but I don't remember an ounce of and that was a very depressing realization lmao. But making lasting ones with my sis now is 10x more important after witnessing my soul being crushed by the stiff, plastic hands of someone who tried to convince me a convertable was my dream car

I haven’t seen either the Barbie or the Oppenheimer movie. The last movie I watched was the D&D movie with Chris Pine. After that I haven’t watched many movies since then. Being on the spectrum myself the feeling of not being able to read the emotions/ notion(s) of someone else, is very overwhelming and I tend to think it’s best to stay away from someone, so I don’t cause them any stress.
Definitely looking forward to Ruby’s next travel Vlog.
I havent seen the Barbie movie and dont plan to, mostly because it seems like you learn life lessons from it and that isnt what i want from movies. My ideal barbie movie would be a pink Truman Show remake. Maybe barbie gains sentience and escapes to the real world, only to accidently get involved in arms trafficking. Then she can use her can-do attitude to get out of the life and build a better future for herself. 🎉

escapism is a way to cope with anxiety. I can vouch for that..... doesn't work for long but I've done it..... but also yes, avoidance and committing to distractions you're right is ADHD encouragement.
