@ I use this controller better than a iPad because I can’t trust the timing of which they think the song will take have to be ready to play the song back 2 back.
I like the prime go it's actually a really decent controller my only gripe about it is the crossfader is on those or not the highest quality I don't use mine because it started to bleed on channel 2 so I just turned the excavator off completely because it's useless now pretty upsetting on a piece of gear that's only 5 months old but other than that its a great dj control
I get it that you were trying out a new toy and I respect it. But I still think just using an Ipad is so much easier. Easier to transport and simpler to operate. Reception setup awesome as always! Everytime I watch one of your gig logs I tell myself I need to learn soundswitch. I own a Mixstream Pro GO and hate loading music onto it. It is way too complicated.
Yeah that was what I was trying to decide on... it definitely is more work preparing if you're not regularly using Engine DJ. but it definitely is nicer during performance time. That's just the tradeoff everyone has to make for themselves. I may end up doing the ipad for the reasons you stated
I don't really have a ton of EQ on the integrated mixer of the JBL EON ONE PRO either, so it wasn't much different. But I had a lot more gain which was nice
Do people ever say anything about the movers hitting their eyes? I just got some 60watt movers and even those blind me. Was thinking maybe I'd program to only go over people's heads.
That is definitely an important thing, especially with dropping the song on the chorus, or fading out at a certain time, etc... but I like having physical faders too
good lord $1000.00 for that Denon controller? too much money to just play 3 songs at a ceremony. (bridal party entrance song, bride entrance song and the end song) you can do the same with an IPad and a little external mixer. that's how I usually run my ceremonies.
Looks more professional this way and it’s a great back up. I used one at a wedding I did and it looked and sounded great with my wireless JBL one speaker. Fast set up 😁💪🏽
Nice wedding setup! Seems everyone is using the tubes it looks great
Great unit been using it for secret years in my ceremonies and bought another for my reception setup
Dang - I have gigged in that spot before - cool venue
Sleepy Ridge is pretty cool!
Hi Daryl, any link for the battery pack used for the mic? Thanks.
Ipad. Algoriddim Djay app and the mackie battery powered mixer. Ceremony done easy.
Do you next wedding with the prime all the way😁💪🏽
I’ve been using that controller wedding ceremony for like 2 yrs the best
do you run your microphones through the controller or do you use an external mixer since the controller lacks a mic equalizer
@ I run my mic and it sounds good that controller is made really good
@ I use this controller better than a iPad because I can’t trust the timing of which they think the song will take have to be ready to play the song back 2 back.
I have been as well. Rode mics, Prime GO and Alto Busker are my perfect mobile ceremony rig
@ my main controller pioneer sx2

So were you okay with not having any eq for the Ceremony microphones?

No. If you scan for a split moment, it's not a problem imo. I have some chases scan above their heads, the ceiling, or the crowd.
@@DJDarylBennett good to know, thanks :)
Nice review but that table is too short for you. You look like Andre the Giant doing that ceremony
Wires tho
I think the only useful thing a controller is for ceremony is cue points.
That is definitely an important thing, especially with dropping the song on the chorus, or fading out at a certain time, etc... but I like having physical faders too
Get a Jackery 500 or 1000
I have the Goal Zero 1000. It's heavy and requires two hands. That's a trip all by itself. I rarely bring it to gigs these days.
@ get the jackery 1000 it’s lighter with 1000 watts power and 2000 watts max 5 hours and works perfectly for any situation that you need power 💪🏽
The beatgridding is absolutely terrible compared to VDJ. Raised a ticket and they say that's the way it is. So it's a toy then.
In my anecdotal experience, I've found VDJ to be "better" at beatgridding, but I wouldn't describe Engine DJ as "terrible".

I mean, the new iPad pro is $1000-1300
And you can use it for other gigs too lol
@@DJDarylBennett the iPad also works with djay controllers now
@@bboymac84 i feel you bro but it comes down to "does the client care what you're playing music on?" My set up does the same thing.
@@DJDarylBennett you don't have to get the pro. regular IPad is good or any ipad
I dont understand why djs need a controller for ceremony. Seems like over kill. And more to bust down.
It's more work to setup, but makes it easier during performance as you have more control. It's a tradeoff that everyone has to weigh for themselves
