My son Ronnie went through the same. Living for years with Trey having a $$$$ wedding and honeymoon in Mexico. When Ronnie landed his dream job in Milwaukee and Trey finally joined him as soon as he could leave his job. They stayed together for a couple more years and Trey finally left and asked for a divorce. Hard times for awhile plus like you two sharing custody of the two Bostons, Biscuit and Gravy. I believe the haidresser was a woman and not a man. Anyway, I don't think a flat top would look all that great on Taylor. This hairstyle looks really great on him and grows back nicely as well.

I would have asked her to cut more on the front so it was proportionate to the top and not so short on the sides and back.
