Also, no, Aaron is cooked, he's nowhere on the level of Brett Favre, never was, and especially at the same age he was in his later years. Just resign Sam for a slightly bigger contract if there happens to be a setback again, which I highly doubt.
Just a little comparison Favre had a passer rating of 81.0 with 3,472 yards, 22 touchdowns and 22 interceptions in 16 games for the Jets. Very next year he took the Vikings to the NFC championship game. Rodgers has a passer rating of 88 with 2,442 yards, 17 touchdowns and 7 interceptions in 11 games for the Jets.
I definitely don’t see Favre throwing that game, I have never seen a man take a beating like he did in that game and then half the Saints coaching staff was suspended for a year for putting bounties on the heads of certain players Favre being one of them if not for that we go to the big dance and most assuredly beat the Colts!
S…Looks like it’s not popular, but I’d sign Aaron even if his primary use would be as a mentor…that process has been used by the Pack, and I think that Aaron would be a great fit with the Vikes…
The last time - about 4 weeks ago - rumors swirled about the Vikings trading for a quarterback, Sam Darnold's play went from very good to medicore. I am convinced the rumors crippled his confidence which is essential for pro athletes. Now here we go again. IMO this talk of rumors is beyond counterproductive, it is moronic at the highest level.
strategically it could make sense to have a (historically) really good QB under center while JJ learns and continues to rehab. This league expects top 5 drafted rookie qbs to be franchise saviors and more often than not it fails. Qbs (like Aaron, Tom, Steve and others) who get a season or two (or 3) to watch and learn. With that said, I cannot imagine a universe where koc and Aaron are in the same locker room. They are like oil and water imo
Give him a chance, when the Vikings picked up Brett favre everybody thought favre was a washout he took them to 15 and 1 the next season he was a washout. Their current quarterback is unpredictable one day he's excellent the next he's okay. Regardless, the Vikings are pretty good this year, they could actually go to the super bowl and hopefully win.
Hell, yes, I take him, but I would think he would prefer closer to his home state either San Francisco or Las Vegas Raiders perfect fit for either but he can play with the Vikings and finish what Favre couldn’t do. Would be good for JJ McCarthy to sit and Learn another year just like Aaron Rodgers did behind Brett.
No thanks to Rodgers unless he can get a super bowl, which I doubt - but regardless, next year needs to be ALL JJ. No Sam, No Rodgers. Just my opinion.
@@coreyparker7655 There were just reports of him being traded because of their losses, but never any actual confirmation, no truly credible reports from Ian or Adam, nothin.
Gibbs is effective because the Lions have the best OL in the league and arguably the best offensive Lineman in Penei Sewell so you can’t make statements in a vacuum without acknowledging the main reason the Lions RB tandem has been great! That being said I don’t disagree with the idea of drafting a top RB, but I also wouldn’t be upset with the resigning of Jones who has exceeded expectations, and is amazing at getting yards after contact. The problem for the RB going back to Cook was running between the tackles because the guards have always been an afterthought!
If are defensive coordinator next year gets a head coaching job good for him I would be okay with the defensive coordinator that the Jets fired their defense was always good
the Vikings have the money to spend -- why not take a chance to have a WR room of JJ, JA, and JC? Chase would not be cheap, I get it, but imagine that group...with Hock and then try and draft Ashton Jeanty...wow...but we need corners bad, so I get that Chase wouldn't work. But would be great for dreaming!
There's no stopping the endless cycle, the football deities have decreed it. 15 years from now Jordan Love will be getting ready to leave the disaster Jets and go to MN. The cycle never ends.
Those who do not learn from history, are doomed to repeat it. If he wants to pay into the salary cap $35 million dollars and have him be the Dali Lama to what KoC tells him to do, then sign him. Beyond that. Hard pass
Big Pass, I’d rather run it back with darnold if JJ has setbacks then let toxic Rodger’s in the locker room. Unless he changes his attitude to the game and other players I’m not buying it
If he got cut and we could roll with him this year I would rather have him then daronld. Contract and all that I doubt it's even possible. Roll with JJ next year no matter what. We viking fans been waiting for a young franchise QB since Culpepper.
@ yeah i think it was just bad luck, i predict…based on his film and play verses other rookies in college he will do well…he has so many weapons and in preseason he was awesome in the redzone…plus he is only 22…😳
I'd like to know how much Aaron Rodgers would cost us ; and would Sam Darnold be willing to stay for one more year , if we would pay him that much ? If we could get Sam Darnold for ithe same price or less , then I would rather have him. However, if Rodgers would be cheaper than Darnold , I'm all for giving it a shot !
No way man, definitely do not want J.J. around that toxic crybaby. Forget about it, I dont care how good he used to be. If even 1% of his toxicity rubbed off on J.J. it would be too much.
If Viking want Aaron Rogers it has to be this year for incase Donald are not able to finish the season strong then Rogers will help the Viking to finish the season but not next year because JJ will be strong and ready to go
Daniel Jones to the Jets? That's funny. Rodgers in MN would be bad for the team. But yeah if that happened one thing's funny is he wanted them to draft Justin Jefferson he would get to throw it to him but I don't know it could just be the Jets too because when Brett favre played for the Jets he played like crap it could just be a New York thing
I think it would reignite his passion because he would be given a core of receivers that he's never had. It's like when we brought in Brett. Brett had one of his best seasons with us. Rodgers has the potential to give us our first superbowl and send him into retirement on top. The bad thing about him, though, is his potential to be a poison to the locker room. It takes a lot to stomach that guys attitude, and I'm not even around him. Can you imagine having to deal with the guy on a daily basis?
I say "P" to Roger's unless he takes a huge pay cut to smack it to the Packers. Roger's could be a great mentor for JJ McCarthy, though. We need DB's, interior linemen on both sides, and a running back. We need a center, DT(blue chipper), and multiple DB's. Blackman is the only CB under contract for next year, I believe. I don't think there's enough cap space for all areas. Maybe Kwesi can swing a trade for one of the 4 top DTs before next years draft. Let Kwesi shop?
It'd be great revenge on Rodgers! He can come set a record for being sacked 10 times a game because they'll blow money on Rodgers and once again completely ignore the interior OLINE!
Do you want to sign Aaron Rodgers next year? Type ‘S’ for Sign or ‘P’ for Pass

Pass on the toxicity that is Aaron Rodgers
Also, no, Aaron is cooked, he's nowhere on the level of Brett Favre, never was, and especially at the same age he was in his later years. Just resign Sam for a slightly bigger contract if there happens to be a setback again, which I highly doubt.
No to washed up toxic Rodgers, but no also to happy feet interception machine Darnold.
@@debsmith7861he was clean his last game and was excellent in the pocket. I’d much rather have Darnold now than Rodgers
He is a diva. Hell no.
other fans sue Jefferson as a DIVA, but no way. 41 year old should be only one Place: Retrement.
Just a little comparison
Favre had a passer rating of 81.0 with 3,472 yards, 22 touchdowns and 22 interceptions in 16 games for the Jets. Very next year he took the Vikings to the NFC championship game.
Rodgers has a passer rating of 88 with 2,442 yards, 17 touchdowns and 7 interceptions in 11 games for the Jets.
No, No, Noooooooooooo!!! Did the Vikes learn ANYTHING from the cousins disaster?????????
Farve
Kirk Cousins is a good QB. Not a disaster
He’ll no
hell no!!!!!!! Aron will throw the game away like Bret did against saints... old farts
I definitely don’t see Favre throwing that game, I have never seen a man take a beating like he did in that game and then half the Saints coaching staff was suspended for a year for putting bounties on the heads of certain players Favre being one of them if not for that we go to the big dance and most assuredly beat the Colts!
Stafford is who we need if we are going that route.
Pass😂😂
PASS he's too old and definitely too much of a diva for us
There are plenty of QB's to bring in as backups for J Double. Fuck, bring back Mullens or Rypien. We don't need KAaron.
Hell to the no...
Hellllllll NO we don't need his DRAMA
No I’m cool on Rogers
Please tell me why you want him? The last quarter back I would want to be on the Vikings
I have been a Vikings fan for ever. If we pick up Aaron Rogers I’m leaving the Minnesota Vikings
P. I do not think he would be recieved nearly like Brett was. He would not be happy and probably want alot of money.
The Jets would be paying his salary basically for this year .
S…Looks like it’s not popular, but I’d sign Aaron even if his primary use would be as a mentor…that process has been used by the Pack, and I think that Aaron would be a great fit with the Vikes…

P hes been washed over the two years in New York
No, We Don’t Want or Need Rodgers 🤷🏾♂️💯
Pass! No way!!!
wow that is what Favre did. Green Bay to New York to Minnesota
Hell No💯P😂
We need a right tackle and a defensive tackle 3 technique
Would much rather have Danny Dimes for a back up QB.
PASS!!!!

We need a DT in the first round
We’ve been joking about Rodgers coming to Minnesota for almost20 years!
I really hope Sam is listening and watching.
@rogerbong Pat has it right. Post Kirk, Hunter, Zimmer/Speil era this is the first year basis.
I’d take my chances with JJ and whoever else is available
You the same dude who said for us to trade for Matthew Stafford even though they were never gonna trade him in the first place?
Yea they would have traded stafford if we would have beat them but of course we got cooked and kept the rams season alive🤣
@@coreyparker7655 They weren't trading him if they lost, that was fake news.

Okay he's doing even worse than Kirk & had more time to heal... Not even if JJ is hurt just keep Mullens

Sign him up. Depending on the options
So what's wrong with slinging Sammy coming back.
Sieps, yall can have Danny Dimes
Sign him, and make him dress up as the mascot

Kaaron Rodgers? HELL NO!
J.J aint missin Jack S__t😂

"I can do anything better than you" rodgers to favre. The hate is funny.
Sign. He got big arm we got big WR that can catch.
Yes, only for a vet minimum and 0 gm power.
Aaron’s Bret Favre arc is almost complete. 🤭
He would do well here…but not sure he is the right attitude. Plus we have JJ…
I feel like JJ will be a bust. Obviously he is injury prone. And has yet to prove he can hang in the nfl.
