The exact location of the train station of the beginning of "Once Upon the Time in the West" is here, not Guadix train station as you seem to suggest in the video. The "road" you see here was actually a train track, but the tracks have been removed since: www.google.com/maps/@37.22467,-3.0318525,3a,60y,50.13h,89.99t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sLk8dZ5-Ku6srSdPDp3x56w!2e0!7i13312!8i6656
Hi I am going to Almeria this April 2019 especially to visit mini holliwood , Los Albaricoques , Western Leone, and Estacion de la cahorra ( FlagStone)... any suggestions?hint ? or something should i know? ... Thank you in advance .
All these destinations will be fun! Perhaps add Guadix and the train station nearby (used in GBU & many more films): exit A-92 (south) and take GR6103 east... Also consider Rodalquilar near Albariquoques, where there is a mine, shooting location of Duck & more! There is also the train station in Almeria used in Duck... Have dinner in the town of Tabernas itself -- you'll be surprised! Ho! And finally, exit A92 (from Almeria--north) just before Mini-Hollywood on the left (west) at Estacion de Servicio Alfaro Repsol, you'll see wonderful desert landscape used in many many movies!
@@alainmorin Hi Alain thank you for responding me so quick , okay very interesting I will right down all this informations . and how to get there is it easy ? should I rent a car ? should I use the gps? please tell me whats the best option>? how did you do?
@@donadel70 You should definitely rent a car, and even better, a Jeep, as quite a few roads are remote and rough... for example, the roads behind mini-Hollywood and behind Rodalquilar lead to fabulous locations but last time I had to stop quite early on the trail because the little Peugeot I was driving could not take it... a gps would indeed be useful, but study maps very carefully ahead of time... what I did is I repeatedly studied locations presented on this site: www.fistfuloflocations.com/location_maps.html
@@alainmorin good morning . Thanks a lot for all these information and this helpful website. I cannot wait to be there and realize my childhood dream lol, I am crazy fan of Sergio leone. my next plan after this is OUTI America filming location if god willing. Thank you again Dear Alain and if you do remember anything let me know cheers .
Alain Morin The shoot out towards the end in FAFDM was shot on Agua Caliente (or better known as 'Clint Eastwood Street' and not on the street which features recent blue and white buildings, which is only around the corner from it. Having said that, I was quite surprised that you didn't feature the dual between Col.Mortimer and Indio in the newly restored circle near the hotel Casa Rural La Minilla - you were practically yards away from it. Your video is interesting, but it features images of landscapes that could of been taken anywhere and I'm surprised you didn't visit Cortijo del Fraile (10-15 minute drive from Albarcoques) which was used in AFOD, FAFDM and GBU.
Thanks Karl for these observations... Indeed, somehow I totally missed the duel circle! I wanted to go to Cortijo del Fraile but I was driving a tiny rented Peugeot and couldn't drive on the super thin and shaky road... I will rent a Jeep next time... I did visit Rodalquilar and also wanted to drive through the hills behind the abandoned mine but again the road was too scary... I barely made it behind Mini-Hollywood...
I've only been to Mini Hollywood, but I am going again in March to cover these areas including Hotel Cortijo De Sotillo ('AFOD'). Looking at recent reviews, I've heard that Cortijo Del Fraile is virtually impossible to explore as security has been stepped up with huge fencing all around the area as a important safety measure.
This was a fascinating video. I enjoyed all these films. Thanks for showing these locations.
Enjoyed going down memory lane. Thanks Sir.
Tenho 67 anos e sou fanático por filme de Faroeste , 90% deles tenho certeza que assistir .
