  • Tonight, I’m making a quick and simple crispy Thai-style fried pork chop. Follow along with my video as I guide you through the recipe. Below is a list of ingredients you'll need.     *Crispy Thai-Style Fried Pork Chops*
    Ingredients:
    4 pieces of ¾-inch pork chops
    1 tablespoon white sugar
    2 tablespoons fish sauce
    1 teaspoon Chinese five-spice powder
    ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
    1 tablespoon oyster sauce
    ½ tablespoon sesame oil
    3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
    2/3 tablespoon cornstarch
    Canola oil or vegetable oil for frying
    Cooking Instructions:
    1. In a plastic bag, combine the pork chops, sugar, fish sauce, Chinese five-spice powder, black pepper, oyster sauce, and sesame oil. Mix well and marinate for at least 15 minutes, or overnight for best results.
    2. Open the bag with the marinated pork chops. Add the all-purpose flour and cornstarch, and mix to coat the pork evenly.
    3. Heat oil in a pot over medium to high heat.
    4. Test the oil by dropping in a small piece of flour. If it bubbles, the oil is ready.
    5. Fry the pork chops for 3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.
    6. Remove the pork chops and drain on a plate lined with paper towels.
    7. Slice and serve hot with rice and your favorite side dishes.
