Being a redcare secure where's the Pstn connection as a back up ? Should this not be connected in the event of the gsm network going down or does this not apply to fire alarms

I am not sure about the "Pstn" connection you are referring too. However, I do know that if there are issues with the GSM signal, a fault signal is recording at the Alarm Receiving Centre.

In your opinion should a fire alarm engineer have electrical qualifications ( nvq lvl 3 electrical installation ) ?

Mat Bryan It depends on what type of work they intend on doing. Maintenance/Commissioing/Call outs or Fire Alarm installation works.

Mat Bryan Having qualifications such as an NVQ for Electrical installation is a good thing to have in this line of work.
