I heard Maimonides' parents were converts, is it true?

A bit related and possibly where the confusion may lie. The Muslim historian Ibn al-Qiftı (1172-1248), reports that Maimonides
feigned Islam publicly, adhering to its rituals, studying the Quran, and praying in a mosque. Later, when he was in Egypt, a jurist named Abu-l- Arab IbnMuısha, who had lived in Fez, met him and accused him of having converted to Islam in Andalus.

Please don't spread such stuff, be diligent and learn Maimonides Mishna Torah (Hilchot Malachim) to see the real Jewish view of Moshiach. Also see Nachmanides defence in 1263 against numerous fantatical Dominican monks
