Over the course of five days, JURNE caught up with Selina Miles to explore the neighbourhoods, train tracks and underground tunnels found in Oakland, California.
‘Science-ism’ also offers a glimpse into JURNE’s studio output, illustrating the connection between his work on the white walls of a gallery and the concrete walls of the city.

I almost hate to say this because I support artwork in the city. Especially that stencil art I've seen around lately. It adds to the culture and flavor of the city but how could you do that to that peaceful wooded area? It's loud and disturbing in a peaceful setting. It's downright ugly.
So you have a problem with him adding color and aesthetic to a wall, but see no problem with the atrocious wall being erected there in the first place? Humans constantly disrupt nature...graffiti disturbs that disruption.

Paul TheSkeptic you've never been to any of these places. I have. They actually make these creeks and landslide barriers/retaining walls look better than the aged rotting and/or stained walls that are underneath layers of paint. It's not an eyesore and you grouping shitty stencils with graffiti shows how little you know of the topic in the first place.
