    You never go down on lack of equipment, but on the other hand, Petromax is probably the best gear you can buy, and why have the next best when you have the best. 👍🏼 👍🏻 👍🏼

    Totally agree about Petromax products, top quality. A tip for you is to store frozen above chilled in your coolbox as, opposite to hot air, cold air goes down rather than rise. It ensures that the products stay cooler longer (although with that amount of insulation..... :) )
    Great vid as always. Cheers from France

      yes but for a cooler the main thing is to keep it open as less times as possible. so packing milk, cheese, snack meets on top and have aquick reach is more important. and the frozen ones you take out once a day for your dinner.

    The stove looks to be an exact copy of the Volcano Stove (US)....I wonder if they've licensed the design.

    Great, honest “heart felt” review. Great to listen to what is clearly a genuine review. Not a regular junk review from someone who is totally clueless……. But has been paid for review or given a load of free kit. Nice. Love the vid. You could teach others a thing…… or fifty!

    I like this man and his passion! Thanks for sharing this. I have a petromax rocket stove but now I’m considering to get an Atago and a Dutch oven to make my bread every week. Cheers from Italy!

    If you're passionate about the outdoors and you're passionate about cooking and you're passionate about cooking in the out of doors and you're passionate about about being passionate then you should feel passionate about feeling passionate whilst being passionate about cooking in the out of doors.
    All in good spirits... just had to ;-)

    Are the Petromax Dutch oven transport bags worth the money? … they seem very expensive for what essentially is a bag. Unfortunately I unable to see one in person.

    While At-a-Go is a great name this is a stolen knockoff product. It's a Volcano Grill 3... I have their original cookbook from the 80's. Also the Volcano has a gas option so it can be used for wood fire, coals or gas..... and it costs less.
    And your "breather hole" in your dutch oven is where you put the thermometer.

    Do you ever get seen and asked to move on? You always seem close to the road and wild camping is illegal in the uk. I've always been told pitch up late and leave early but you're camping all day and night and making fires?

    Bit expensive for me and and lot of other bushcrafters. Got a pressure cooker from Afghanistan, can cook any meal on. The main thing is less wood to cook the food, better for the environment etc. Buy uk there is foundries in uk.🇬🇧🇬🇧

    Hi ya yep food in a Dutch Oven or camp oven as we call them can’t be beaten and the pie iron we call a jaffle iron and toasted Sanger’s cooked in them are unreal, I use mine on the gas cooktop in the house. Stay safe cheers from Australia 🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺

    Quick question, have you (or any other comment readers), tried any of the dutch pots on a rocket stove? If so, does it work with legs or would I have to get the legless ones? Cheers in advance.

    • @BushwackerMan
      @BushwackerMan  2 года назад +1

      I would go for the flat bottom, as the dutch oven will balance better 👍👍

    Last year i got the stainless steel petromax Tea kettle with the curved handle , great bit of kit. Cook mainly now with a Indian SS , flat lid dished shallowish pot with handles on the stove mostly. Its thin bottom so takes heat quickly. I have a dutch oven but dont use it much , its a heavy bit of kit to pack for short stays in camp.
