Kubota L Series Tractor: Air and Fuel Filter Change

Today were going to be changing the air and fuel filters on my Kubota L4701. This will be very similar to any of the L series tractors.
So if you have a:

I have an L3200 (bought new in about 2011 or 2012). With regard to the air filter; from the factory, I never had an inner filter, just the outer filter. Is the inner filter something that was added after my model? Or did Kubota forget it on my tractor?

I’d imagine there should be an inner filter. If you go in Messicks website you can find an exploded parts diagram for your tractor, that will tell you for sure

You should always fill the fuel filter with diesel before installing otherwise you will have air in the system to deal with. Just saves time and trouble.

You’re not wrong, that’s my normal course of action. Worrying about moving a camera around and such makes you forget simple things quite often.

I’ve heard two different schools of thought. That putting diesel in unless you are sure it’s clean clean can cause some dirt to bypass filtration and fuck an injector.
I hear if your gonna prefill, use canned filtered fuel or power steering fluid or some other bottled fluid that is sure to contain no contamination.

You need to use a fuel filter not an oil filter there is a difference
