@1snowreaper I carry a maxped Falcon II, I did use a jumbo versipack but I found that I like 2 straps better than 1. Honestly I switch it up fairly often anyway so I will give the malaga a shot sometime soon. :)
I edc the Maxpedition Malaga. A little smaller than a normal backpack but it so much better at organizing and managing space. I highly recommend it if you like gear slinger type bags that use one strap.
Love the Kershaw scissors. They're bigger than I thought they'd be. They remind me a bit of the "snips" you get in craft shops, similar to bonsai pruners. How sharp are they "out of the box"?
Yea, I've really grown to like my Maxpedition Fatty. I wasn't altogether impressed with it at first as it just felt kinda clunky with what I had in it. After reorganizing said stuff, it seems to have filled out much better, yet still has plenty of space to expand when needed.
Hey, I carry three knives, too! Mine are a bit more varied in function, though. I have a "personal" knife that's small and used for fingernails or even cutting food if needed. It's got a smooth blade (like all three of yours). I have my general purpose knife that is medium and is the one that sees the most action. It's partially serrated, which is great for rope or cardboard boxes. And I have my utility knife, which is the largest, partially serrated, not as fine, and used for heavy-duty tasks.
Update: Heinnie Hayes (uk) have the Kershaw scissors as their deal of the week. Selling at half price, but you know that'll just be an excuse to spend more on other things!
Wow man, iv been contemplating between this one and the normal size one for about 3 weeks..unfortuntalty no stores around here for me to view the sizes. Still not sure which one im going to get. Probably the fatty only due to space. countycomm has lots of nice little gadgets to fill that organizer up-theres too much empty space ;). Whats that kersahw called (had to ask even if you said not to :) Scissors are like the most important EDC item that I carry, and that is such a nice design
I have the Kershaw scissor knife too…tried to sharpen it using the Spyderco sharpmaker and butchered it. I know how to use the sharpmaker well, but apparently I couldn't figure out the angle on the kershaw. How did you go about sharpening it so well?
Can you actually carry the fatty in your pocket though? On the maxpedition catalog it's more of a belt carry edc pouch than a pocket carry. I've never held or seen any of them in person so I would be interested in hearing your opinion.
Ok with the power of google name of the scissors is : Kershaw Two-Can Pocket Knife and Scissors Combination. Ps. yeah that rite in the rain book is nice, got it from going gear for free when I ordered my HDS rotary 200 from you guys. Only problem is been carrying it for about a month now in my back jeans pocket and some of the corners of the pages are getting "coloured" by my jeans. Doesnt really effect anything since its not on the writing space.
The Kershaw scissors could be usefull, but at $30.00 it costs as much as some of their decent knives. And the E2D flashlight, 250 bucks? There is no way I'd pay even close to that much for a flashlight! There are plenty of excellent self defence flashlights for a fraction of that price.
three knives thats better than where i live you cant carry a knife or a gun or a screwdriver for that matter i carry a chain with a padlock attached lol Good video!
