Hello, I’ve been toying with the idea of getting a stainless steel kadai for a while now but was always a little intimidated at the prospect of seasoning it and of food sticking when cooking. However, after watching your very detailed videos I’ve decided to order a Vinod kadai and it should be arriving in a few days time. I’ve been thinking of giving up on nonstick cookware as I’m very worried about all the residue that the coating eventually releases. I thank you for sharing videos like this- it makes my life so much easier now that I know how to season and use stainless steel cookwares. Next on my list is to try cast iron but that’s actually even more intimidating than stainless steel so I’m going to give myself some time to “graduate” with stainless steel cookware first before I delve into cast iron cookware. 😆
Glad to know you liked my video..I have posted cast iron videos too.. Do watch if interested👍
@@ideasathome hello Ive received and used my 24cm vinod triply kadai and i wanted to let you know that i loved it. Great heat conductivity and i used all your tips when cooking with it, food didn’t stick to the kadai. Thank you for this amazing video. i loved the kadai so much that i told my sister in Australia to get it as well as she wasn’t sure which stainless steel cookware to get. I will be purchasing the 32cm kadai to replace my large non stick wok. Have a great day.
Very good information sister. TQ for sharing
You are most welcome🙂
thanks mam ...... wooden spachula ka bhi review kriye 🙏🙏😊😊

Very nice video. Thank you
Thank you😍
Helpful video...pls make a video on vinod stainless steel wok and it's uses 🙏🏻it will be great help.
I have vinod kadai and frypan dear.. its sufficient for me.. I dont have a wok dear.. I think kadai will be more useful for indian cooking.. wok has a stylish look more suitable for chinese dishes like fried rice, noodles etc which needs tossing the pan
@@ideasathome thank you so much for your great suggestion and quick response dear 🙏🏻🙂

Hello Ma’am. Thanks for describing the seasoning so well. I made puri in this kadai & have developed brown spots on the kadai . Please give some
Tips on how to get rid of the stain marks without damaging the kadai. Thanks in advance
Make a mix of 2 tsp vinegar and baking soda.. Apply on stain.. Scrub with sponge and wash.. After frying remove oil soon after frying
@@ideasathome thank you so much

👌
Hello
Can we season old stainless steel kadai with same procedure
My kadai is 2 years back
While making dry sabji or dry snacks it gets burnt so i want to seasin it and makes it non stick
Yes.. You can do it now also👍
can we apply the same procedure for stehl stainless Steel pry pan .pl let me know
Yes you can.. But if they have specified any method in their manual plz follow that
No not mentioned any specific method
After cooling down, do we need to wash utensil before starting to cook?
No..
We have to do it regularly or this process is follow only for first time??
There are some negative comments in amazon about stains n spot in the inner surface of the kadhai.. please tell if it's true
Mine doest have any issues.. Rainbow stains are normal in stainless steel which goes away when washing with lime juice or vinegar. Its not an issue
Hey how is your hand now? Good to see you posting. Take care.
Its almost healed with gods grace..thank you so much for your concern..Feeling blessed to be in touch with caring people like you☺😍
Get well soon mam
Can we use vinod stainless-steel kadhai for deep fry like making puri and some pakoras
For deep frying cast iron kadai is the best. I use that for deep frying.. we can deep fry in vinod triply too but soon after frying, we have tranfer the oil in it and when the kadai is cool wash with dishwash soap. Else the oil can create tough stains on the cookware which will be difficult to remove. I have posted a video on deep frying pooris in bergner kadai.. plz watch
Hi Dear..thanks for the video..wanted to know how to season a stainless steel cooker
Can follow same method but no need of seasoning in cooker
Also I have bought a stahl steel kadai...how to season it?
If seasoning method is specified in the manual you can follow that else you can follow this or my bergner kadai seasoning method..
@@ideasathome thank u so so much..God bless 🙌
My pleasure. Thank you.. Regarding Steel cooker, wash and fill with little water boil and discard that water.. Then you can start using.Wash the gasket also properly as it might have some powdered coating.
Super mam ..
Thank you so much dear
When we can use this .? How much time we can keep this
Shall we do this method every time
No once, first time
hi maam, pls review Vinod stainless steel platinum x dosa tawa and also how to for first time

Ok dear
I forgot to season my new triply steel kadai before first use ..i cooked dal and sabji...on low flame on induction cooktop..but after first use only it started having deep rainbow stain...why this is happening..is it normal..how to get rid off this stain..?
You can season it any time.. Rainbow stains are quite normal. It goes away when washed with diluted vinegar or little lime juice. No need to worry.. Wash and dry the kadai after use to reduce it but it is not an issue at all
Hi
Can u tel me 28cm Vinod kadai is too big or medium size and for how many people it is sufficient if we cook curry in it
Pls reply
Hi dear... 28 cm is little bigger kadai... for 4 people 26cm will be enough.. for 6 people curry 28 is needed.. I have done several recipes in this kadai.. plz watch to get an idea of its capacity
Tanq so much for fast reply😊👍🏻

Shall I use sunflower oil for seasoning
No... It is very tough to clean its stain. Plz use coconut oil, gnigelly oil or ground nut or you can even use mustard oil.. Just any unrefined oil is enough
@@ideasathome Thank you, yr reply is very useful for me

@@ideasathome mam usually after every use once its completely cool down my maid washes it with liquid soap but with normal water no warm. And whenever I want to use I just wipe it with a cotton cloth n use...... Is this correct way mam. Thanks a lot
Yes... I wash the kadai with water again before use.. Its very easy to use triply utensils
Yes.. you can wash dry and store.. I have posted several recipes in this kadai..
Hi.. I read so many reviews saying that kadai color got changed in first few uses itself. Have you noticed that? Because after seeing your positive reviews I would like to buy one for us.
The initial silver finish of new triply kadai will fade away after cooking but still they look beautiful. My kadai shown in the video is around one year old and you can see how it looks now..rainbow stains in kadai can be removed with vinegar and baking soda mix..you dont have to use it often just dishwash and sponge is needed to clean..
Thank you.. Even your kadai got those stains..? Because I am wondering yours does not look like it got stains
Don't cook in high flame. Only low and medium. If you cook in high the colour may change. And don't pour cold water on hot pan.
I did this just now. I think the water boiling step is a bad idea - because at the edge of the water level there will be calcium and other mineral deposits from hard water (quite normal) and those deposits are hard to remove (even with vinegar).
Other than that, oil forms a polymer at high temperature and forms the actual surface on which cooking happens - this is what keeps the food from sticking according to some other video on RUclips. If you scrub too much while cleaning, food will start sticking to the stainless steel obviously. So don't be obsessively clean.
Let's see how this works in real life.

Apply ketchup on kadai leave it for 5 to 10 mins then scrub then scrub again with bar and always remember to dry ur kadai right away after washed or even easier use pitambari I have bergner kadai it's working really well on it

Can we use vim dishwasher
Yes... we can
Use patanjali dishwasher, it is made of pure ash, which is basic in nature, instead of those sulphate loaded dishwashers
What is steel and silver variant?
Dear Ma'am,
Pls advise, is silicon brush good to use for basting, will it not melt or burn for high temperature of oil.
When I directly placed brush on burner on it became ashes.
Silicon brushes can withstand temperature at a particular level only.. if you expose it to very high temperature it will be spoilt.. better not to use it on very high heat.

Why to season stainless steel kadai?
It is not compulsory.. But doing this will make it well seasoned and it recommended by the company. This is needed only once before first use too
Can we use mustard oil instead of coconut oil?
Yes
