Beautiful dog. Let her see some rodents in a cage so she can learn their scent. Then everytime you go into the woods she will automatically start looking for scents to track.
P.S. Ozzy has never been ratting, but he’s now killed 5 mice and 3 pigeons in the back garden! Pigeons took him about 4-5 years to work out he could catch them! But now he tries all the time, I don’t stop him, he’s a hunting dog, I don’t want mine or pigeons particularly in the garden so he’s more than welcome too 😂
My daughters 8 year old Patterdale is still exactly like this and we do what you were doing here with her. She is hard fit and still a very good shape. Considering she had some bad homes previously and was once starved, then fat there we are very pleased how she is now.
Find someone who works ferrets, they can bolt the rabbits and your terrier can chase them down. Might be wrong time of year for that now though it’s more winter months
Beautiful dog! Is there a name for those wide leather collars? I am trying to find online and the wider ones seem like they are made for much larger dogs.
I am Apostolos from Greece and I really like Patterdales. I like their character, temperament, energy and size. I want to buy a working Patterdale from a good and reliable breeder, from England or Europe.. Can you give me any information about good kennels? Thanks
Patterdales are not a registered kennel club breed but there are alot of very reputable breeders in the UK I'd advise buying Patterdales from breeders in rural areas away from big towns and city's as they will most likely be from good working stock
Hey man really great timing on this video. I'm thinking of getting a patterdale next month for my first dog. I've been watching tons of videos on training and I'm willing to put in the work. This video is great inspiration for fun activities I could do with it to burn off energy and provide enrichment. Lovely to see how Crisis is progressing. Please do more videos like this of just the stuff you like to do with her, your recall video when she was a puppy was excellent too.
I’ve got a Patterdale called Ozzy and he’s almost identical to your girl! Gotta ask bro, where did you get that pole thing from?? My Ozzy would love it! His prey drive is stratospheric!
I have 2 Patterdale's hard work but a beautiful breed !!! I mean compare them to my Pressa Canario they less then half her size but need 10 times more exercise !!! But yeah if u have time and the space Patterdale are brilliant !!! Loved the video , can't wait to see some more :)
Yep, terriers vs Presa! I've got an 8 year old Presa who.loves his 4 year-old, ils working style Lakeland companion, but she is way more energetic than he is! She can work.him into the ground!
@@grahamblackall6305 Makes me laugh when people say presa aren’t good with other dogs and should be the only pet a family has !! My presa hasn’t got a bad bone in her body she loves her 2 little brothers and it’s brilliant with dogs that she don’t know ,but if you try to come to our property to steal or harm anyone she will send you to god very soon 🤣🤣
Really glad to see the knowledge of the working pat has spread so far good on you mate
Nice puppy, She seems like a mini pit bull terrier.
It's definitely a patterdale, Jack Russells are bred from them Jack's just have shorter legs
Awesome dog!!!!! I could watch it all day long 😍
I'm on my second patty now and everyday they do something different to make you laugh.they are the best.
Great fun
lovely dog, doesnt seem keen going to ground though, I had to keep pulling mine out of burrows
Love your patterdale where did you get her collar from?
She’s a beautiful dog - I think you’ve done a fine job with her, and the video was a lot of fun to watch.
How are these compared to Staffordshire Bull Terrier? I'm on my 3rd SBT and my most recent one is a female. She's small and cracks like a whip.
Where do you get a flirt pole like that from please we have one but it’s not as flexible as that one and he to quick for it now
Im a patterdale owner and shes much much nicer and lovable than a monkey.😅😅
Where did you get her collar from pls pal?
Cut a thick belt down and put new holes in it.

My family has three patterdales , and they are high energy for sure.

My patterdale is 12 and he’s a crack head😂
Good job!
Brilliant video 💯

The pole looks like a fishing rod. Has exactly the same flexibility. You can get a second hand one for a tenner!
Patterdales are no good with small kids. And should never touch the food when eating.
My petterdale is great with kids and zero food aggression.
Mine is great with kids and anyone in the house can take the food from her whenever they want with no problems.
