  • This was my first time solo camping and I tried to keep things pretty minimalistic in terms of gear. It was so relaxing and the view over this valley was just incredible. Thank you all for watching!

      Quick question.. so I also bought an alpha breeze because of your influence haha.. I was just wondering, how do you clean your alpha breeze after a camping trip? @@rtmadani

    • @rtmadani
      @rtmadani  9 месяцев назад

      @Mimo_RN So usually I just wipe it down while it’s still set up on the final morning several hours before packing up. Just a soaking wet microfiber all over the rain fly and then a damp one for the screens/inner tent. I hang dry the tent once I get back and then it’s usually out again in a few weeks.

    Have you been in a situation where you’ve had to set up the Alpha Breeze while it’s raining? I have an old Big Agnes tent and one of the features I love is that I can pitch the rainfly first and then clip the tent underneath it. Makes for setting up in the rain very easily. I LOVE the alpha breeze and it checks every box for me and my family but we camp in the rain as well and I’m just curious how you manage, if at all. Awesome video as always!

      Hey, thanks! I’ve fortunately only have had to deal with light rain, but like you said if it’s raining the shelter with an attachable inner is the way to go. We do go when it’s raining and usually just set a tarp up first and cook some food and if the rain stops we get a move on the tent quick.

    I’m really curious where you are camping in these videos, and also if you have tips on how to pick and plan for family camping trips?

    • @rtmadani
      @rtmadani  6 месяцев назад +1

      Hey, so we do a combination of Hipcamp's and dispersed camping. If you're not familiar Hipcamp it's basically airbnb for campsites, so people rent out land. You can just pick an area, say near a national park and check out Hipcamps nearby. It's nicer than campgrounds and usually a lot more private and safer to leave gear behind as someone usually lives on or near the property.

      @@rtmadani ah that makes sense. My experience with public campgrounds has been that they are way too busy and loud!

    Great video but of course you edited out the 47 times of trying to get the rainfly on in the correct direction. I wish snow peak had just color coded the clips to make it easier to remember.

    • @rtmadani
      @rtmadani  9 месяцев назад +1

      Thank you! For once, I got the rain fly on perfectly my first try and then realized I forgot to hit record! So I left it out haha, but color coded clips would be nice!

    Definitely a dream camping setup, but when you have everything Snow Peak (and I don’t mean that in a bad way since I like Snow Peak too), I wish the branding was more Sunil or simply not there. There’s something about seeing the words “Snow Peak” on every shot that ruins the mood for me. On a side note, I’ve been to every Snow Peak store in the US (I believe there are only two; one in Portland and the over in New York).

    • @rtmadani
      @rtmadani  9 месяцев назад

      Yeah I completely understand! Eventually as the channel grows, I’ll be able to show other items and setups, but for now it’s just what I’ve bought for my own setup, which happens to be mostly SP. I don’t want it come off as an advertisement, but I realize it can sometimes look like that, especially with all the branding as you mentioned. This is great feedback, I’m going to try and make the branding less obvious for these types of videos in my shots.
