While the content is extremely interesting, the editing is horrible and makes the video almost unwatchable. One of the keys to youth development, and one that Klopp talks about (I think, the editing made his point unclear), is how important it is to understand that youth do not develop at the same speed. The key at the early ages is to develop kids who are athletic, enthusiastic and creative about the game. Too often, programs focus on selecting the “high achievers” and getting rid of the rest at a ridiculously early age, with the result that a lot of potential future stars are missed because the selections took place before they were physically or mentally ready, while many of the “high achievers” who were sent to football academies burn out by the time they become teenagers.
