Thanks for the auto exposure lock tip, in film days tilting the camera was how I used to check exposure and I've carried on with that habit, holding the button down to lock has been an annoyance, now no longer! Thanks..
Fantastic, Desperately trying to learn this technique. Question, in complete manual mode on xt3, how do I make the exposure compensation dial work? Thanks. New Subscriber here!
Compensation dial has no effect in manual mode on any camera. You need to use a combination of aperture shutter speed & iso in manual mode. Use exposure comp when shooting in aperture or shutter priority. Glad you like the channel.
Brilliant tip. I will try it. One question, your Instagram is great, but I am having problems with my photos being cropped by Instagram. How do you make sure you load the original image. Even when I tell Insta to use the 'original' it always seems to be slightly cropped. Thanks so much
Great video bud! I saw you have the 33mm f1.4 on there. How are you liking it? I lent my 35mm f2 to a buddy and was debating just buying the 33 and letting him keep the 35. Do you dig the lens?
Congrats for this video! What about if I'm in full manual mode (I control ISO, shutter speed and aperture)? I guess it doesn't matter which light metering mode you choose (spot, evaluative etc...). Am I right? I've done some tests, and the metering mode makes no difference when I'm in full manual.
If you’re in full manual mode then you control the exposure not the camera, so yes you are correct in saying it doesn’t matter what metering mode you are using. Many thanks
I may make the odd one now and then. I’m pretty busy these days & making videos is time consuming. If or when I make another video I’ll give you a mention. Any ideas are appreciated. Many thanks.
This style is so Noir reminiscent. I’m awe 😎
Thank you my friend, I’m glad you like it.
Good content pal
Really good video. We all think we know what to do but it’s good to see it again from someone else’s view. Thanks!
Thanks 🙏🏻
You can use manual mode with auto ISO and the camera. Will decide the ISO.

How do you alter your recommended procedures when shooting a camera with no built-in light exposure meter?

So far so good, I’ve not had much time with it yet. Will probably do a video on it sometime.
