Yeah, the 0's are nice. I have a few old 0-18's: 1923, 1927, 1939, 1943, 1949. 1951. 1952. 1968 The 1950's are a good place to start. Old sounds at a somewhat affordable price. 1960's are more affordable. 1930's are the most expensive and usually best sounding. 1920's are very mellow - great tones. Early 1940's are some of the lightest Martin guitars with a unique tone. My 1923 is now 100 years old. A very large hole in the top was repaired by T.J. Thompson. Other than that it is in fantastic shape for 100 years old.
had an 0-18 for forty years till it disappeared out of my truck 15 years ago. I still cry about it - like losing your best girl and knowing you can't have her back again.
hey guys, i think you guys should put the name of the songs in the video discription. i know sometimes the commenters put the names, but theres gonna be some times when they dont. theres some times that mark plays some really cool stuff that ive never heard and that other people possibly have never heard either.
I love my Martinn HD28, like you say it is a loud sounding guitar. Since you've played everything under the sun do you think Martin is a louder guitar or just projects more than Gibson and Taylors?
hawg427 You can't really generalize about loudess and projection (what does that term even mean in this context?) as every guitar is different. So many factors.
yeah I love your flat top Fridays you should stick a capo on the 7th fret try to play some John Barleycorn from traffic if you trying to come up with new songs
I don't have one of those things, I do have a nice pair of Tannoy Mercury speakers 7 and a Cambridge Audio Azur amp. Guess what it still sounds like thin pooh.
