you're correct...every song off the album "at home" was recorded in their own homes separately then sent in and mixed due to the pandemic. you've done blinding lights...others include ...home, when the party's over, break my heart, dreams, and cologne...all worthy of a reaction from you...thank you for your reactions...have a blessed day
The pandemic changed quite a lot for PTX. They had been working on their 2nd full album of original music and was planning on releasing that in mid/late 2020 after their European tour - going into a new US tour for that album. Instead they had to go into lockdown and cancel all those plans. The European tour has been postphoned a few times now and is currently planned for spring 2023. So they released an EP called "At Home" in 2020 - all tracks were arranged over zoom, recorded at home in their personal studios and the music videos filmed on their iPhones. There are 5 music videos from this EP including this one. The others are: When the Partys Over, Break My Heart, Dreams and Home (the last one is a medley of a bunch of songs about home). Their original album was then finally released last year, but they still haven't been able to tour with it. They did a christmas tour last year for their christmas album Evergreen, and they've been keeping a low profile this year so far - mainly because Kirstin just gave birth to her beautiful daughter a few weeks ago. They're writing new music though.
You all have to react t their Can You Feel the Love Tonight. I just want to see how you react to Kirstie's outfit, plus the music is as usual outstanding. Also Scott and Mitch, who form Superfruit, having Kirstin with them doing a medley from "Frozen" in someone's living room with improvised props - funny as hell!
Really love pentatonix and this version of the song ,, it was super awesome fr but for me imo that certain raspness and emotion of the weekend is just on another level
All of them learned about the technical side of recording when they made this At Home EP because they had to figure out how to do it. They all said it was very hard and a steep learning curve, but it made their understanding of that part of production so much better.
Fun video. Thanks for the reaction. They did a great job of recording the audio and the video themselves at their respective homes during the early part of the pandemic. They obtained the equipment and learned to use it to do all of that themselves at their homes. Lucky us.
Kirstin and her partner, Ben Hausdorff, now have a baby girl named Elliana Violet or Evie for short. Ben does their video work and directed the “Pentatonix - The Recording Of Evergreen” video. It shows their creative process making last year’s Evergreen Christmas album. I think you, as professionals, would appreciate it. You should react to their cover of The Prayer first since the Evergreen video contains too many spoilers in it.
Anybody else think Kirsite's chair gives her angel wings? The vision of them going through wardrobe choices over Zoom makes me smile. I think the report that Kevin's background was his bathroom floor may be a leetle distorted. Maybe the shower?
Awesome reaction! You're really cute, smiling the whole time, enjoying the miracle that is PTX.. Please do the other songs from the "At Home" EP as well, they're all great! I'd also love to see your reaction to "Mad World", if you haven't done this one yet, it's hauntingly gorgeous..
You should take in the EDM track original "Love Again" They said A Capella couldn't do EDM...PTX basically said "Here hold my beer" Great reaction as usual!
Great reaction. You're right about each recording this at home, so each background is from somewhere in their homes. I've heard a rumour that Kevin chose his bathroom floor and had to do his recording lying down on it!! That's unconfirmed, tho. Love this song. Have you guys done Come Along? Or Cracked?
@@Sweeney541, I wasn't convinced of the floor thing either, which is why I said it was just a rumour and unverified. Thanks for squashing that fake news.
They cut an entire EP of covers during quarantine while they were writing their original album and made I think four videos (correct me if I'm wrong, my fellow Pentaholics)?

-They never stopped recording during lockdown, they just found ways to work remotely and put out an ep called. Home.

This album was so done during lockdown. If you like these backgrounds check out "home". Kevin has all three Grammys behind him.

You guys are the best ! You're so fun to watch.

He always floors us with his talent.
@@aaronbarlow4376, Bwahahahaha!! That's on the level!
@@Gwennedd I always hoped Kevin would team up with the lead singer of Nightwish.
I've heard of the bathroom floor rumour too, but it's not true. It's a wall :)
