I enjoy watching all of the Leaving City videos, but this is my favorite, mostly because it shows the finished product and the family living in the home they rebuilt. Love her taste - very comfortable and homey. The garden is BEAUTIFUL! Yes - I could live there as long as someone cleaned and took care of the garden for me!! 😀✌

OMG!! Love the stairs!! Many just chunk those pretty patterned tiles in the garbage. So glad you saved them. The arched doorways are awesome. And the fact that you are taking advantage of placing flower beds even in those narrow spaces. Is great. Opened everything up on the inside for great airflow. The architect did a great job in bringing your vision to life. The home is wonderful!! You have a great eye for bringing things to life. Your family will love it. Beautiful!!

These folks are master bricklayers!!! Any video I've seen from Leaving the City, the men (and sometimes women) have done a ton bricklaying and it looks beautiful. Not to belittle other work, everything is gorgeous. The garden??? To die for!! What a talented young lady! The young boys who came to help by carrying the cement for the bricks are so cute. Everything in me is screaming "Where are your safety glasses? Where are your steel-toed shoes? Where is your safety equipment?" then I remind myself that they are NOT in the U.S. and I need to mind my own business and just enjoy the transformation.
I often think that about eye safety and at least a face mask when they work indoors with all that dust and god knows what flying around in there! At least they have a facemask on though.
@@missmacNZ I understand and totally agree with you. It's just 65 years of knowing that hard hats, eye protection and steel-toed shoes being necessary in my dad's line of work. That why I ended with 'minding my own business'.

They are happy and have worked like this for generations. The cotton wool of many countries does not allow for people to think for themselves.
