Waw, great long-range flight! Yes, it takes very solid nerves to do it and you did it. Amazing. The longest distance I flew my MA2 is 3.8 Km over the river; I could have gone further but I decided to fly it back.

Never say never man! Awesome flight, right on the cusp of 5 miles. You’d be the coolest guy on the block to say you went a whole 5 miles. Well, even if you’re truly done with with range tests you’re still the coolest guy on the block in my book. 😎
Nice one Gene. What an amazing bit of tech. I found battery to be the limiting factor with distance flights. What is the point of getting out so far and not having time to relax when you're there. Within lower blood pressure distances it is great to have the time and reliability to get the best shots. I'm preaching to the choir:) It's fun to stretch it's legs though. I'm having trouble with mine flipping in and out of H265?, It's been causing me angst recently. I've lost out on a few lovely shots:( I'll put some thought into it today.
Gareth is that when you're in D-Cinelike that is flips in and out of H265? I will admit, I've been filming in normal mode for the most part so I don't have to color grade. I need to start filming in Raw and give it a go. I saw somewhere that if you use special modes, or quick shots, you must go into the settings and set up Raw again.
I solved the problem with a microsoft patch. I'm not entirely sure what is going on but I couldn't put h265 files into DaVinci Resolve. I had to screenshot them and then do it, losing all the goodness. I tried to select h264 but it kept flipping over. Then I found an article about gopro using h 265 and a patch fix. I downloaded it and I have no problems. Thank goodness for clever people:) Hope your feeling ok , I am on the mend at last:)
Metallica!! What!! Yes. My son obsessed on my Metallica cd when he was a teenager. I'm learning to fly a cheap drone before investing in a good one.Yours got incredible distance and speed. I enjoyed the flight and views.

No the battery lasts about 23 minutes when flying in full Normal Mode the entire flight. I had a hover test last almost 30 minutes. The 34 minutes that is advertised is in controlled conditions at a particular speed with no wind. They run the battery from 100%-0%, which is bad for the battery.
Last one until the next one, you guys just love rubbing it into us Europeans on how far you can send them out 🤣🤣🤣 have a great 4th fella, happy flying 🤩🤩
