The weight of Highschool recruiting completely changed with the portal. Now there is very little reason to stay with a team for 4 years. So.... Doesnt really matter as much your HS recruiting class.
The SEC doesn't need FSU, as a Gator fan I think they should have to stick with the ACC. They had three chances to join the SEC, but chose to be a big fish in a basketball league. Football money dwarfs basketball money. But having said that, I believe the SEC will take them to keep the Big10 out of the south. Of course the Big 10 could get into Florida if they wanted with Miami still.

Norvell is doing what he can. Honestly you can’t survive long term depending on hitting every year in the portal. All the national champions since the portal was instituted have been minimally using the transfer portal. Maybe that can change but as of right now it shows building through traditional recruiting gets it done. Because it’s called DEPTH.
Be careful what you say. Alabama hit the transfer portal hard in 2023. Took a player we really wanted, Jalen Key, and he played a ton for Bama last season.
