If Miami had a decent quarterback who could manage the game and occasionally make a play, they would’ve been a Super Bowl contender every year. Their defense was top notch.
This was probably Miami's best D unit of that late 90's to mid 00s era,Miami had an incredible D,stacked from the front to the Backfield,I would even say that as good as they were,they probably underperformed,only thing miami was missing were complimentary LB'rs to go with THOMAS over the middle and I think they were a safety short also,cuz besides Marion nothing great,but the front and the DB'S were as good as any in that era,with the exc eertption of Baltimore!!

The only reason he was only in those couple playoff appearances and posted those couple 11-5 records was cuz of the defense carrying out all the workload. And to think he's the quarterback of all people to win a playoff game for the dolphins, smh...

Lamar Smith was a beast in this game, although he was completely worn out the following week. Still a great game.
