Great review as always! Just following up - I received my custom JKOO/Sinosword O-wakizashi in tamahagane last month. The blade is near perfect (there is a small fukure kizu on the blade but JKOO's policy is anything 1mm or less is acceptable), the tsuka/tsuka-maki are outstanding (I opted for Japanese silk ito, hishigami, full samegawa, katate-maki wrap), the habaki looks great and is surprisingly well fit, and the says is perfect (like you say, "riding on rails") with horn koiguchi/kurikata/kojiri. I chose their top tier fuchi/kashira/tsuba and they are very meh...and the tsuba is one of the worst cast/finished I have ever seen from a parts bin with pitting, cast lines/seams, muddy details. I am hunting for a specific themed antique tsuba to replace it and I will have one of the most outstanding values...still love JKOO for sure.
A great ending to a well put together series on this wakizashi! I bought a custom (31” nagasa) 9260 nohi monosteel blade w/katate maki for a dedicated cutter, and it’s one solid beast. I even put all of my weight on both sides of the blade and it went straight back to true. I’m curious what else you’re going to get from Swordis 🤔 Oh, are you getting the S5 Shadow Dancer??
@@JoeSteel1 John from RVA just got a custom katana from JKOO today, and it’s either tamahagane or sanmai, but it had a silk tsuka and even an extra tsuka (not sure why) but if you want more info than I can give shoot him a quick email. Oh so you’re waiting on Shadow Dancer now? I’ve heard that their wait times were kinda rough 🤷🏽
Counting down homie
hAHAHA SET IT ONLY FOR 1 MINUTE
