I have a problem at this point. The size that I need is a medium, but the one that I did is a small. I am almost done with the front side. Can you suggest any ideas cause I can't remove the whole thing and do it again as it took a long time for me to make. Please HELP me 🙏🏼🙏🏼
Hi. Sorry for the late reply. Oh no that is an unfortunate situation. It does stretch quite a bit. I could suggest you place the front against you or the body it's for and see if by stretching, the length and width fits the front of the body. (And then you'll know if small will work or not). The sizes do have some room once completed (as in my last video I show how to tailor it to your body)... so you might have enough room as a small to make it fit... I can't think of any ideas in terms of actual construction that you could do to. :( Unless you want to undo the shoulders/armholes and continue knitting for the length. However for the width I'm not too sure on that. :( Sorry I could not provide you with an actual answer.
@@captaincrochet6483 It does for if I stretch it. Can I do medium size for the back side so that it can fit better or shall I just continue with small.
@@nikiprakee8677 I think it depends on how much it fits when you stretch it. If it is super tight, then do medium on the back but measure as you work on it to make sure it fits together to your front at each step so youd be able to sew them together at the end. If you find you have lots of room still, do a small. Maybe just do a couple rounds of the small and see if it is wide enough put together with the front. If it is not wide enough then you know to do the medium.
I am working on Large size, after finishing 10 rows I have 97 stitches but for the next 9 rows (dec 18 stitches total) it would be 79 but you said 87 I don't get this one. Can you please explain it
Hi. Yes. For that part you are actually just dec every other row for the next 9 rows. So you will do a total of 10 dec. Not 18. So row: 1: Dec (95sts) 2: no 3: Dec (93) 4: no 5: dec (91) 6:no 7:dec (89) 8: no 9: dec (87) Hope that helps.
I am working on X-large size, I have a question after 47cm start the armholes cast off 6 sts is cast off the beginning and the ending then number is 123 ?
Hi. Nope you do not have to continue if the measurement works. You may stop at any custom measurement you want. Just make sure to do the same measurement for the back piece (since you will put the two together). And also when you begin to work on the arm sleeve, the base of the arm sleeve, you might have to modify the base of that so it fits into the armhole you are making.
Hi. I don't notice a difference on my finished work. If you feel you want to do another decrease on the other side like the Skp, then you can do that. But in the end, we will be stitching the sleeves onto the armholes anyways so the very edge of the armholes will be on the inside and you won't see it when it is complete.
Hi I'm confused with the Dec... I'm doing the small I have 114 stitches, u Dec 5 at the beginning on 1st row that's 109... then u do another 5sts on second row that's 104... have I missed another Dec somewhere... ??? I've watched a bit more 104 - 12 is 92 then the end is 10 Dec and end up with 80 at not 77 , what have I done wrong... I can not finish this lovely jumper as its not working out right 😕
Hi. [For the size small] I think you forgot to do the second decrease at the very beginning. of the sweater. - The second step. So after your rib st, you'd have 114 sts. Then the second step is to do: Rib 8, rib2tog, (rib22, rib2tog)4times, rib 8. And that wil give you 109 sts. So you should have been working with 109 sts for your 47cm. Then when you are here shaping the arm, you start off with Cast off 5 sts in patt at beginning of next 2 rows. (And that will give you 99sts). Then work 6 rows dec 1st at each end of every row. (87sts). Then work 9 rows dec 1st at each end of next and every foll alt row. (77sts). Cont without shaping until armholes measure 13cm. It is not a big mistake. You can easily fix it because as you go through this shaping of armholes, you can just do extra dec (spread them out) over multiple rows so that by the end you add up to 77sts. Then you can cont without shaping until armholes measure 13cm.
@@captaincrochet6483 thankyou for coming back false alarm, I'm watching you do your back... I've had a moment I've just watched you Dec on the back , I've just looked and counted and I've got 109 stitches lol , sorry if I counted when I was watching etc I would of clicked on ... by the way this jumper is amazing please do more , I've been looking for one like this for ages. Once again sorry my mistake all counted right now 😀
You're a legend. Everything is going great 🎉🎉🎉
What is the difference between k2tog and dec1? It looked like you did these the same way. Does it matter or are they the same?
they are the same, k2tog is just another way of decreasing. :^)

Hi. Technically yes. But you just cast off at the beginning of the next two rows. Not the end. So at the end of 2 rows you will have 123.
Where to start 15 cm? At the beginning of the cast off 5? Thanks in advance!
At 13:50 I show you where to measure from.
@@captaincrochet6483 thanks! I am already there just finished the 9th row in medium and is on the way to 15 cm.
i am working on. XL size. do i really have to make 18 cm armhole ? i have worked 10 cm and that portion already look long when i put it on me.

If you use K2tog for both ends won't the shape lean in the same direction for both instead of being symmetrical?

I personally prefer the knot 1 slip 1 pass slip which over at front then knit 2 together knit 1at end of right side row
