A truly underrated band, and I think I'm not wrong if I say that their fun name hasn't helped them in this sense. Courtney he's a really interesting guy, but I fear he looked too cool to be taken seriously by the critics.
Some years ago I discovered not only their shows are better than those of many of their contemporanies, but i listen their records more than those of BA, BMRC, BJ'sM, FL and even MBV..

Wow!!! The Dandy Warhols live in October 2023. It's great to see them perform their awesome songs live. I wonder why Courtney, the lead singer, is positioned in the back instead of being front and center.

But to answer your question, Zia has always played most of the bass lines on her keyboards, only occasionally does she bust out a real bass.
