Love this! Mom of 9 here - my girls sang together growing up until they all got married. Some have moved away, so it is more difficult for them to sing together anymore. However, anytime they are together, they are always singing. My girls play just about every instrument known to man - the Lord taught them to play everything that they play. I showed them a few chords on the piano and bass when they were growing up, but sometimes it just feels like they were born knowing how to play. My girls, The Money Sisters, recorded several CDs before they stopped singing together full time. The boys are much younger than the girls, so they never really sang with the girls. So good to see families like yours still homeschooling, singing together, and serving the Lord.
Y’all tickle me 😂I can so relate to this. We are Holiness folks from Alabama. My family has been preaching and singing for more than 50 years. My brother is an awesome pianist and I play a very little. I don’t think people understand what it means to play intuitively by ear. Do they know that I don’t know anymore how to teach them to play than teach them to ride a bicycle. At most I could show you where a chord is 😂If you have ever heard the song “Live for the Cause” or “ Long Time Friend” my brother wrote those. Family harmony is so fun❤ Never thought about gum helping with your singing though I have had to spit out a lot of gum before singing as a child 😂 I was talking to Sis Sondra West about y’all not long ago and I was pleasantly surprised to find out that y’all were Holiness. My brother has preached in California some years ago for a Bro Tito and Sis Rose. I can’t remember their last names but I think they were near Fresno. If you ever come to any meetings in the South I’d love to meet y’all ❤
Hey y’all be careful when speaking on camera. You are allowing your voice to lose volume at the end of some your statements. It’s probably just how you’re use to speaking. Y’all have so much to offer and we want to hear every word! Love you guys so much!!! ❤
I noticed this as well, and I can relate. I have always been soft spoken and have to be mindful to speak up, otherwise people ask me to repeat myself. Even so, I'm still soft spoken and it's not something I necessarily want to change ...I just have to assert my voice a bit more in certain situations.
Why do they need to be careful? How about, respectfully, 'we're not always able to hear the end of your sentence, just something to be mindful of'? Im sure its not the intention but 'be careful' sounds critical

I just relate your singing with southern USA. 🇺🇸 I grew up in Texas, but found you guys on RUclips singing I’ve been in Australia 37 yrs… came here to do a church job working in music choral and youth. At 63 I have had formal lessons in piano 3 years in elementary school and a year at university level so I could pass piano test they give! But I just wanted to sing. I read music but I can’t play piano for NUTS! Only right handed! My left hand is terrible. I just pray for the Lord to gift me in that area but it’s never happened. Still love you guys and the harmony’s!😊❤

I love y’all. My daughter is now 20 and she too played piano by ear. She finally started to get theory lessons when she was 12. And now she plays by ear and can site read. Initially she played most songs in the key of C. Now she all over the place. Totally possible to learn. I know a man who started learning in his 60s. Glad you’re not on social media… ❤❤❤
