Including the lovely little girl, they make up 'ashta Lakshmi'. Lovely ladies draped in traditional saris and decked with the glittering jewels bring immense happiness to the viewers. This proves that it is the NOT the length of the dance but the quality of the performance that gives the viewers such a satisfaction. :)

What is that little girl in skirt doing? What's her role?
I'm the choreographer so wanted to give my thoughts :) These group of girls, including the little one, all applied to IndianRaga London to be a part of this process. She was selected by the Indian Raga team based on her passion and keenness whilst still a young student - so I created a part to play to her strengths, the innocence she presents as a young girl. Her role is a young girl who is dreaming of Devi and wakes up in a dream sequence where the older girls are getting ready to welcome Devi into their homes. The underlying thought behind the choreography is that there is a goddess residing in every young girl, and we must welcome her presence. We also had limited time for practice due to Covid so perhaps more practice would have helped the team blend, will keep that in mind for next time. Thanks, Ami
@@Ami5551 thanks for your neat explanation
