Good morning I have been on the Breeze ( and 3 Carnival and 4 Royal Caribbean ships) I will NEVER go back to Carnival. RC is 100x. Food is better, entertainment and things to do is better, ambiance, did I mention the food is better 😋😋 You don't have unattended kids running up and down the halls at midnight. RCL does cost more but is worth the experience! Glad you went

I laughed when you said I'm gonna take a little old people nap. 10:37 I usually have 1 or 2 of those every day. In fact, my eye lids getting droopy right now. 😁 Thanks for sharing your cruise with us Chef Jeffrey.
You are going to love it. You will want to stay on and never get off. I been on over 20 cruises love everyone. You can preload on cruise ship just like airlines. You should have gotten cabin with window. But first timer learn as you go. Have a great week.
For me only like my balcony for serenity and Guys Burgers owned by Chef Guy Fieri. Cozumel was like going to Airline Flea Market.

I absolutely LOVE cruising! Before the pandemic my sister and I cruised every year for the last several years (primarily on Carnival because of the perks and bonuses we get). However, we were just talking a couple of days ago about how much we miss cruising so we want to start again next year since the virus outbreaks are minimal to none now on ships. Thank you for posting this and I’m glad you went!
My first cruise experience was in the Carnival Mardi Gras.(,March ). It definitely was a beautiful experience!! Went to the chef's table. Definitely planning another one soon!!
Chef I'm glad you took that next leap of adventure whether single or group. Take cruises on other ship lines, each ship is different and please keep posting your traveling adventures. I'll going on my 15th cruise Oct 30th for 6 days. Keep posting your fantastic cooking and traveling videos 📹 💙
Welcome to the cruise community I’m glad you enjoyed it. I still remember my first cruise like it was yesterday and now I’m hooked for life. One comment on the kids. Longer cruises on the bigger newer ships that cost a little more you see a lot less. I’ve been on Royal and Carnival and love them both but, definitely pay about $1000 more for Royal. Hope you have many more happy cruises 🚢 p.s. group cruises are a blast!!!
Chef Jeffrey so glad you over came some of your fears and took a leap of faith to overcome some of your fears but my Lord there a lot of people and happy you can find some peace and quiet for yourself

You haven't been on a cruise until you have been on Royal Caribbean cruise. I'm going in May. It's wonderful to see what God has made. I will be my second. We can discuss Royal
And that’s the truth Royal Caribbean is the only one I cruise on.
I love cruising.... Been on 5 or 6. Can't beat them with the meals, entertainment, comedy and "people watching". Note: the merchandise for sale on the Islands are priced because of the tourist.
I never got to do this so thank you for showing it to us. Hot sandy beach isn't my thing either. I would stay on the ship, walk around, enjoy the water, and nibble every food they have to offer. Ahh...Galveston. So many summers of my childhood...memories.

I think you should go try one. But I would say do your research ahead of time, choose a cruiseline and class of ship that matches your lifestyle and preference. If you get it wrong, you will hate cruising. If you get the right mix, you'll be hooked on cruising forever!
As long as you are ok brother that's all that matters.. Remember the last carnival cruise everyone caught Covid.. So you are blessed.. Happy you had a good time Chef Jeff.. The Rookie Chef always here.. Enjoy yourself brother.. and be safe.. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

Lady in DA Room - You do not know what you are missing. I can say that having been on a cruise 7 times. It's my favorite vacation. There is so much to do. You will never get bored. They have every kind of show you can think of. You can also get any kind of food you can think of. My favorite was the 24 hour ice cream and dessert station. Some of the excursions are a little pricey. But you can always just walk around and sight see. Its fantastic.
Oh my gosh I was getting claustrophobia when you walked into your room and I can’t handle large crowds and noises either!…I’m freaking out too, lol 😂. A cruise is not for me 😉 but thank you for showing us!

It brought me back to so many great memories of the cruise I last took 15 years ago and you know when you look out and you see that deep blue ocean, all I could think of was look at God! Chef J just a word of advice. To me it's much more fun when a group of friends/relatives go even tho folks go on cruises alone too. I prefer groups.

I prefer groups too. I love cruising
As an introvert, I much prefer to go alone and be as autonomous as I like to be. Decisions on what to do next and where to eat are quick and easy, no drama. 👍🏼. I can get together with groups of people anytime.

Everyone that’s connected aren’t actually together and everyone that does things alone aren’t lonely. I absolutely love my life and it’s so exciting and fun in everything I do and go. Even if it’s with someone or alone

I love your cooking videos. I have been cruising since 1988. We live near Galveston. We are always sailing out of Galveston. We sailed on the Breeze once but it was when Hurricane Harvey hit Galveston. Our 7 day cruise became 13 days. Even thou I am a Royal Caribbean fan the Breeze staff were wonderful during this time. Breeze is a good ship.

Good morning my dear Chef J! OmG ur gonna have a great great great time!!!!! I remember my very first cruise. We went on the Royal Caribbean and I was in tears when I stepped on that ship. I absolutely loved it!!!!!!! Nothing compares to a cruise. It's just like a floating hotel and ur catered to for everything!!!!! The only thing ur required to do is shower eat and enjoy. It's easy peasy Chef!!! You'll enjoy. I guarantee. I can't wait to go back. We've been on like 6 already. Can't wait to go back!!!! Love ya💞 oh and be careful you might put on a couple pounds. There's food and food galore!!!!!! So so much food. As far as the eyes can see. You can go back as many times as you want. Anyways I can go on n on. Just have a great time n be safe. God bless🙏🏾

Chef, I have found when traveling, the shops near the port are very expensive. I always go in the town to shop. I also always book my excursions with the cruise line. I never use those independent tours - they can be dangerous. Tip: you can order 2 of something in the dining hall. I have ordered 2 lobsters and my husband is famous for 2 desserts. 😅😂
Next time, you'll be more open to the adventure of travel. It is good you traveled with staying safe in mind. So many people don't. Yet, try to do some more exploring. Next time, maybe take a friend or love interest and you can explore as a team. Glad you had a good time on your first cruise!

It's truly something to experience. Those huge ships and all they have to offer. It's just about deciding which one I want to sail on LOL. I hope your experience was all you expected and more!!
Do your research and know the type of cruise you are hoping for. There's nothing like hoping for a fun, party vibe and you find yourself on a ship that caters to families and/or the elderly. Yes, all the activities are still offered but the club may not be as lively as you might expect or play the music of your generation. But typically there is something for everyone on a cruise ship.

Hi Chef thank you for sharing your cruise experience. I'm glad that I was able to really see what you saw. I will never embark on this as a vacation because I wouldn't be able to tolerate any of it!!!! Too many people, long lines, too much walking !!!! Nope not for me. I hope you had a good time. I think it's awesome that after your retirement you're able to travel and enjoy more of life!!!
My husband and I took a cruise from Galveston on Thursday 10-06 to Monday 10-10 for 5 days. Only made one stop to Cozumel. We are now in isolation because we both tested positive for COVID. Be careful folks.

@@Trizzy4shizzy only the workers and a handful of cruisers. We could've been infected anywhere on the ship, but if I had to guess I would say on the elevators. They are so small and majority of the time when we got on one it was 4 -5 -6 sometimes more people standing so close to one another with no mask on. We got caught slipping, but never again.
Carnival is known to be a party ship and lots of kids ,maybe try another line next time .I’ve never been and won’t go now as my hubby passed on over .have fun Chef

I was helped with my roller Walker then signed up for handicapp . My daughter and I did one bag each. Take tip money if you need help. I got checked over by security too
Thanks for the tour chef. I have been on 2 cruises and it was very pleasurable. The ships have increased in sizes. I went in a family group which made it fun and interesting. Did you get to meet or make friends on your cruise? The food looked good. And everything looked clean. your cabin was nice even for the standard. I'm glad you had a nice time. I love seeing first time cruisers! The Breeze is one of my favorites! Ship excursions are the best to explore the ports if you're new, got to have a plan for fun! I rarely go to the buffet, especially since the pandemic, Sea day brunch is free for breakfast and Tea Time and the deli are great also. I just got off the Carnival Magic and I am booking another cruise now! LOL!! 🤣

I went on my first cruise this year also. I watched Life With Us and La Lida Loca videos on RUclips and their videos helped me so much. I had a good time. Only I went for 7 days which was too long so next time ill do 5. I enjoyed this video. New subscriber here.
Thanks for sharing! I went out on the Breeze it's maiden year to the Bahamas and Jamaica. I also went on another weekend cruise to Cozamel on a different ship ,the excursions make for a lot of fun and are really not that expensive. Carnival is a pretty good cruise line for the price
You can ask for more than one appetizers, entrees, or desserts

Jeff, you have to haggle for prices, don’t accept what they say. Ask for a discount or walk away. For cheap liquor try the duty free store in the country you’re in or try the duty free ship on board ship for discounts on liquor, cigarettes, cologne and makeup. Glad you enjoyed. Next time in Cozumel take a taxi downtown for cheap prices on jewelry.

I would wait a while before going on the Vista. It seriously needs to go through dry dock. I just sailed on her two days ago. She’s a great ship but needs a “tune up”. I had a nice sail but think she blew an engine.

Hello Chef. I am so glad that you took your first cruise. And I’m sure it’s not going to be your last. I’ve been on a number of cruises myself and I can say there’s two ways of going. By yourself or with someone. I like to do what you did. I’d like to go by myself. That way I get to decide without having to consider others, what I’m gonna do for the day, when I’m going to eat, etc. and for all the eating, I usually, every day, take some laps around the ship, just walking. There’s usually a deck that you can do that unimpeded. I haven’t been able to go on any cruises for a couple of years due to taking care of my mother. My mother just passed. I am going to get myself on a ship. Maybe several ships. Continue to enjoy yourself, continue doing all that you do because you have been a blessing. God bless.

Wow!! What a trip. So, they had blue bell ice cream on that ship 😳. I can’t get blue bell here in Calif. That was just too much water. I need to see some land 😂😂. Well, I must say you were brave to have taken that trip along. That is a big big ship. The food on the ship looked good. The ship looked comfortable and spacious. Hello Chef Jeff. I really enjoyed your video and glad you took your first cruise. Going solo was even better! In September, I sailed on the Carnival Breeze for my 11th cruise and it was probably my 5th or 6th solo cruise. I absolutely love, love, love solo cruising and find that I have the most amazing time by myself. 😃 it is so empowering and liberating. I am on my own schedule and I can do what I want, when I want, without having to coordinate a schedule with anyone. 👍🏾
In approximately 2 weeks I am going on my next next solo cruise (Carnival Breeze again - I really like that ship. 😃). I also have cruises booked for 2023 and 2024. Thanks for sharing your cruise experience. I hope you decide to cruise again in the near future. 🛳⚓️🏖

Hey Chef. This is interesting for me cause I've never been on a cruise. I've always wanted to go on a cruise but I'm not sure now. I am a beach person so that's where I like to spend the majority of my time. I just had a nice beach vacation in Florida. Seems like your shopping experience was like mine and I refused to waste my money when I could get more quality stuff for better prices elsewhere. I'm about to watch your other video and see what you have to say about your experience. I'm hoping you'll share more about the food. I know that one dinner you enjoyed, but when you don't talk about the food at all I feel like you don't like it. 😅 That's viewing it as one chef to another.
I really enjoyed this video! My husband and I are now thinking about taking a cruise now, thanks to you! I will say this though, the towns you visited were considered a tourist spot and for that reason, the price of goods will be a bit higher and the towns people make their living this way. I would definitely buy if I went. Glad you enjoyed your trip!

Hey Chef Jeffery! Thanks for taking us along with you on your first cruise. 🚢 I'm glad you had fun. I've been on a 1 Carnival Cruise to Mexico years ago with family. I did enjoy myself. One night the weather was bad,and the ship was a little rocky. I got a little sea sick. I got some pills from the Ship's front desk. I ordered room service for breakfast and lunch that day. 😂 I did get some good deals and souvenirs out there. Thanks for sharing Chef. Have a blessed day. 🙏 💘

I been to my only cruise in my lifetime in late May of this year until June 4th two weeks before my 41st birthday and man I had a blast I ate good went to towns outside the United States I'm planning on going on a cruise again
I love orange juice, but don’t drink it too much because of the sugar. I love it though.The Ship is as clean as a whistle
