Potato waffles are great, they’re essentially mashed potatoes formed into waffles and the outside crisps up while the insides stay fluffy. They also make a great substitute for chips in a chip butty if you fry them, it tastes just the same and you don’t have to worry about chips falling out. One of the most beautiful sights I’ve ever seen was the train journey from Oban to Glasgow in late summer (so the days were starting to get shorter) and coming past Loch Lomond at sunset. We get beautiful pink and orange sky sunsets in the West Coast and seeing that with Loch and Ben Lomond in front of it was just breathtaking. UK Flapjacks are baked oat bars that are like an indulgent soft and chewy granola bar, as opposed to the US ones which are just Scottish Pancakes by a different name. The Harry Potter films are nowhere near as good as the books. Maybe you’ll find an appreciation for them once you start reading them to your wee boy…but if you don’t, that shouldn’t be an issue for anyone because it’d be one boring world if we all liked the same things. Do you think that it’s maybe time to start looking outside of England? There are three other countries with their own unique sceneries and cultures on offer after all.
Dunelm is a shop that sells home furnishings. Bedding, towels, cups, saucers, plates, rugs, bathroom items, cutlery and so on 😊 As usual I love your enthusiasm 😂
When you try Yorkshire pudding,don't forget it must go with a gravy. Yorkshire on their own are close to tasteless, but with a gravy, they're divine because of the crunch 😊
@@mvinyl3484 youre not wrong,politicians are and always have been,the lowest form of representation of our great country. We still have the natural beauty and the history.

Hugh Laurie was in Friends. He sat next to Rachel on the plane. He’s the only person in whole of Friends to tell Rachel or Ross “it’s sounds pretty clear that you WERE on a break” he’s so funny In the short bit he’s in 😂😅
Ahh she lives in Kent, I remember. Dover castle is great, my kids hate it for all the times I’ve dragged them there but when you join English heritage you can visit them all as many times as you like included in the price per year. It’s not even expensive. Kent alone has kept us entertained with castles over the last couple of decades. Wartime tunnels there are so good when you do the tour too
I LOVE girl gone london's videos, she is so natural and her vids are always a treat to watch, then watching other americans watching it is cool as! kinda like getting to watch two pals talk about your family in real time lol and with her videos it's really normally quite uplifting and heartwarming for us over here. :D Enjoyed this cheers. (when you do land here, there's competition around the four nations as to just who does make the best fish and chips, but you'd be hard pushed to find an actual bad one ;) )
@@daviddavis7710 I like Heinz tomato soup with cheddar diced into small cubes and stirred in while heating. You get gooey lumps of cheese in your shop, it's great
10:25 Fries and Chips are different products over here. French fries are thin like you get in places like McDonald's. Chips are thick, they look more like what you call Steak Fries.
Beans on toast is a thing here in Australia, has been as long as I remember as is crumpets. You should always butter your bread or toast. I’m not sure why the US doesn’t butter their bread!
Please please, if you ever try beans on toast don’t make the same mistake that everyone else always makes. Apply plenty of good quality butter to the toast first. Changes the entire experience
If you really want to be very naughty you can get baked bean bread too,it’s not a bad accompaniment with your baked beans based meal. There’s plenty of baked bean recipes to try and to explore.
LMAO at the Gogglebox one 😂. I used to like watching it but went off it when certain family's left and they started watching reality crap. Ironically, me watching you watching videos is like the RUclips version ofGogglebox but much nicer & funnier mate 👍
Virgin Gym's are expensive, my local one which has a pool is £148 (Approx $187.44) per month with a £30 ($37.99) joining fee. Whereas my local PureGym which is considered to be a cheap place is £25.99 ($32.92) per month does not have a pool but is 24 hour access.
as a badger you do have to worry about being shot, because farmers blame badgers for cows getting bovine tuberculosis. EDIT: you probably never got into Harry Potter, because the first book is a little bit... its like a series of adventures loosely linked by Hogwarts and Harry aimed at the under ten. the second and third read more like real stories (Rowling was obviously getting more experienced by then) but they only really appeal to teens or adults from book 4 on where it begins to get darker and more serious.
My wife loves me to make eclairs , parfitarols, and elephant feet, for her and our daughter . I have to make double or more batches of shoux pastry. Elephant feet are like a 6 inch size parfitarol filled with whipped cream . 👍🏴
I'm with you on Harry Potter - they're OK, and I have seen all the films. However, one viewing of each film has been enough for me, and I don't buy into any of the paraphernalia. I am a 51-year-old Brit, and my husband and daughter didn't care much for the whole HP brand or films either, to be fair.
Heinz is probably the worst brand of beans, just because it is the most known doesn't make them good. They are in a poor watery tomato sauce. Branston beans are best. Even a lot of the supermarket own brands like Lidl or Aldi are better than Heinz
25:22 I love lamb season too. Specially with a bit of mint source.
Get a PO Box or provide an address we can send British things to for you to try.
Don't try beans on toast with American baked beans. Or American bread. What I'm saying is, don't try beans on toast unless you're in the UK.
and butter the toast.
@GrumpyOldGit-zk1kw Only a maniac wouldn't. 😏
@@GrumpyOldGit-zk1kw lurpak slightly salted!

@SteveG-k8q Not American cheese though.

Toast with best butter, fried egg , baked beans, topped off with grated strong cheese. Mmmmm.

Baked beans on toast is great but you have to butter the toast or its not good ! But butter on toast and then hot baked beans is delicious

There is a similar looking gallery in the Imperial War Museum. But different content without Traction Engines.

Beans on toast doesn't work in the USA because bread isn't bread and beans aren't supposed to be sweet, they're tomato based...
