Max Verstappen is what happens when incredible talent is met with an insane work ethic. When he's not driving a car, he's driving a sim.
I believe that's what makes him a great driver his head is in racing 24/7.
It funny to hear when people criticise the way his dad raised him.
Of course it's not for everyone and not every kid will respond to it the way Max did but there is no doubt that it was really effective
@@Jur1_00 "It funny to hear when people criticise the way his dad raised him.
Of course it's not for everyone and not every kid will respond to it the way Max did but there is no doubt that it was really effective"
If you think someone can become "really effective" through seeing their mother being abused and being themselves subjected to toxic mental pressure and physical abuse in childhood, and also find it "funny" that people criticise this behaviour, you have some reflection to do.
I don’t even think it’s work ethic. It’s something more powerful; passion/purpose.
@@SvalbardSleeperDistrict toxic upbringings often create overachievers. It's a sad reality but true.
It’s nuts watching him drive PERFECTLY. Using every bit of track, following the racing line absolutely perfectly while also setting a crazy pace and passing like it’s nothing. A true alien
At night! 🌙
He is not driving perfectly, I noticed at least 1 clear apex miss and 2 occasions of driving too deep into the corner, losing exit speed in the first 10 mins alone and many more. It is still great though and what you would expect from a professional.
@@Blue_Monkey even so, it's insane. Nords has like 150+ corners a lap, messing up 3 things out of ALL of that means he's driving 98% perfectly, and consistently.
@@Blue_Monkey He Blue you drive a lot better, you now everything not. Just try to work 100 hours a week, thats what Max do, at 4 years off age, no school, no playing with other children, no partys, no drinking, no bad food, you can not any off this stuff.
You sound like a old grandpa who has forgett to liv hiss live and then thake any other hard workers by the balls how it must be thon.
Yess nott my friend.
Gett a real yob, and let racing to Max Verstappen.
And when you thake a corner in the dark at 300 kmu you mis not only the apex, you miss your bus ticket because you are dreaming old men.
Stop whit hate.
And stop whit yess i now it better, iff so you where Alonso or so not
O no you are that guy at burgerking that must clean and swab the floors.
Stop hearting yourself old men and stop the hate.
Greetings from a f1 fan.
It ain't the racing line, it's Verstappen's line.
Max being this good on Sim is like the Secretary of Defense also being #1 ranked COD player
Max being a sim racer actually made me his F1 fan. The guy is an Alien as the highest compliment.
Same. Watching him do a lap in the F3 at the Charlotte roval on iRacing, mere millimeters away from the walls had me awestruck. Then I became a fan of his in F1.
I was fangirling so hard when he was lapping us in the GR86
My nephew Michael Polasek was in this race. Driving solo in the TCR class as a charity effort for World Central Kitchen, Michael started from pole and built a healthy lead over second place before an off ended his effort. He was devastated, but I am so proud of this kid.
What a great effort! Nothing you can do sometimes. It's tough doing a stint round here so a solo effort is an amazing attempt. Hats off to him 👍😎
I had ice cream yesterday
@@ettu2620 Alzheimer's disease is serious... you should get that checked out bud.
Lots of respect for him
@@ettu2620 apparently a lot... :P u tagged me isnt it, so i respond :)
Almost scary to watch, other top guys are bloody fast as well.
There is 0 hesitation with lapped traffic and overtakes. One move and boom
Who divebombs the carousel? Seriously
Max Verstappen is so damn dedicated to the craft that whenever he's not in a sim, you can find him in a Formula 1 car.
This is the reason why I hope the other teams catch up in F1. I fear domination from RB in the constructors department might not let us see his full potential on track. Max is at his best when he's charging through the field, hunting down each car one by one. It's a treat to watch.
He's at his best in any situation. Even at p1, 20 secons ahead of the field he's a rocket and doing some track limits just for some funny boardradios 😂😂😂
Max is literally Schumacher 2.0 Relentless pace lap after lap for as long as he wants.
Mick is Schumacher 0.5
@@wolfecanada6726 Rather 0.1, I´d say.
@@Donan777 lol
@@SheetFiber Honestly, I wish Mick was more talented, but he clearly isn´t.
@@Donan777 I dunno, though I think the talent is there, he just can't get it straight between is ears!
Racing is not just speed on track, it is also a mental game and therein lies his biggest hurdle.
It's insane how little room Max needs to overtake. The confidence to go down the inside on well-defended positions is incredible, makes me think that I should try to be more aggressive when I see a gap. I can't imagine how it must feel to have him on your tail; seems like you're just waiting for the inevitable.
Please don't. The simracing lobbies are messy enough without people thinking they're Max Verstappen
it's not reckless agression, it's precise agression, a distinction clearly needed in most sim spaces xd
Just remember you're not Verstappen
Max puts hundreds of hours of practice into his sim racing; there’s no reason why ANYONE couldn’t reach this level, or at least get close to it, if they are willing to put the effort in. Keep simming man 💪
@@TheSnaveeelPlaysGamesthis is no question of time only. I met guys with 4000h experience in one sim that were just 4s offpace to aliens. To race at this level your whole life is racing and racing only. At least since you were 3yo.
The GOAT. I can't count how many times I felt like he was right on the edge of a crash, but he was always perfectly in control.
Lewis is the goat not max
@@louisbeerreviews8964 Michael Schumacher is the goat not lewis hamilton.
I’m not the biggest fan of Max but you can’t take this away from him. He’s a brilliant driver, no matter what you stick him in he will still win. Scary really how good he is.
oh god here we go the 'im not a max fan' yes you are your watching a max video....
@@mroshfosh I'm not a Trump fan... But I watch the show...
@@thebolsta that’s called being a fan..
@@mroshfoshif I was A fan of everything I watched I would be named a lot of things. People watch stuff out of interest, out of boredom as a pass time random click and so on. Even the out of interest pick here doesn't classify as fan behaviour. Don't be so shallow.
@@mroshfosh I know right? t's so annoying people say that. Just give your f*cking opinion.
Hell no, I can't take that amount of curb on this track using that car... Max has an amazing setup on that car that's for sure. Plus, his skill is out of this world.
Those guys now know what it' was like to be Checo at Miami or any other F1 driver elsewhere. Knowing that with Max, it's only a matter of time and there is nothing you can do about it.
Well said, i watched the Miami race. Hearing the commentators say the individual teams telling drivers not to play defensive against Max, as it was just no point. He will pass you no matter what.
I would just crash him
As some people have said... MAX is inevitable.
These +10kmh on the Red Bull certainly aren't bad for him. We've seen that Max isn't impossible to beat last year, Charles smoked him in Bahrain, that was the first time I've seen Max almost humiliated in his attempts. Unfortunately it was one of the last times we could see the two battling thanks to Ferrari's incompetence
If Checo was in this race he'd be saying Max had a better car than everyone else including his teammates😆
Car setup comes from his ability in the car as well. He knows what he likes and what adjustments to make to get there. That is a part of racing many drivers don't develop. Max has it all. The insane precision and skill behind the wheel, and the insane skill and precision on how to set up a fantastic car for his driving style. He is a true master at his craft. love it. I'd love to be on the track at the same time as Max.
He always seems to be able to get on throttle much quicker than everyone else. You really see the time fall away at the exit of each turn and then consistently down a straight because of all that extra momentum. Its fantastic.
The last lap after the 7.59.1 would have been a 7.58 if he did not run into traffic near the end of that lap. I've been watching this live on the stream of Team Redline. Thanks for sharing.
Why is nobody talking about his downshifts? It's like a work of art
maybe because its max, his downshift are perfect everytime because he is an F1 driver, he know how to down/upshift perfectly
Aren't they fantastic? Honestly, every part of his drive is great. But his ability to shed so much speed, so quickly, into a turn, and then get on power so quickly just barely after the apex of a turn to have maximum speed in the exit. It's just insane. When I drive sim racing games, I can't even come close to carrying that much speed into a turn, or get on throttle that soon out of it.
Did you guys noticed that every time when he switched from gear 3 to gear 4 there was a some kind of delay or is it just my adhd lol ...max is the goat
I'm a very noob driver, may someone explain why is this so impressive? Aren't you just pressing down as soon as possible while braking?
his timing is perfect, you lowkey have to drive sim and race to understand how difficult it actually is, downshfting too fast causes damage to your gear box and makes your back end slide out @@0xc0ffee_
blistering relentless pace with super fine precision - joy to watch
Dude is an actual cheat code. That was insane.
Max is a born hunter. Don't we all love this side of him
Some people say "ohh Max is in a faster car" I always say isn't the car. If I race with him I'm in Lamborghini and Max in a way slower one, he'll beat me like nothing else. Is not the car, is how you use the car. Max doesn't make a mistake, this car never slide out the corner, he applying the right amount of break pressure and acceleration to keep it moving so fast and smooth. Absolute alien and no fear. The control of the car is astounding and perfect every corner. What a legend.
He's a monster, man. This is actually insane, I can't wrap my head around how early he gets on the throttle out of the corners 🤯
It’s as if he’s thinking, “OK. That’s enough corner. Let’s goooo!”
This guy is different.... Outstanding
notice how max utilizes every inch of the track.
honestly the craziest part to me is how much speed and stability he has through the first carousel lmfao
Holy shit this was amazing, almost watched the entire thing. Thank you very much for uploading mate!
It is captivating, that's for sure. I couldn't believe what I was seeing, to take that amount of time out of top level guys around this track!? Just 100% commitment and trust in the car 👌
Max is one of if not the greatest PURE racers ever
He's the sole reason i started watching and loving F1 again. Finally someone back in the sport that is a real driver, a total machine. We didn't have that for years.
This comment is disgusting on so many levels lol
@@dwnxx4974
Huh?
@@dwnxx4974 i think is more ignorant than disgusting. but in todays world...
And some people say F1 is boring with Max's dominance. No it's not boring, they just don't know anything about racing. They don't know how to appreciate the craft.
It is ‘the car’, no it isn’t. It is almost outer worldly talent. Once in a lifetime and I even dare to question that. We live in a great era to be able to witness his insane skills right on our screens. Thanks for sharing this!
I cant wait to watch Max and Alonso race in the same team at LeMans!
I think ALL OF US would like to see that! EL PLAN 2.0
yeah that must be their pensionado-activity later on indeed. Gt's are more for grown bro's than them thin skinny skeleton skelters innit? So cryogenics for Alonso for a couple of years, so he stays fresh in the pack. :P
@SB-jc7wz would also like to see them race in the Dakar.
Look up “systematic” in the dictionary you’ll see a picture of Max. Look up machine you’ll see a picture of max. Look up perfect racing you’ll see max. This dude is the epitome of talent meets hard work. Non stop at perfecting his racing ability and skill. Absolutely mental
I’d have crashed after 3 corners “where’s the track gone “ 😂😂😂
That's about 2 more than I usually last 😂
@@SteelRiverSims yours is about 2 more than mine
Just watching it is even hard to follow. And these are "slow" cars. The way he exiting turn after turn at full efficiency only an F1 driver can. Low friction, full trottle, max tarmac coverage. Like a machine...
Yep he is good at I Racing also great lap times in the dark of are 7:59:11 he is also 2-5 seconds faster per lap, then the top 6 at this stage
One of the most clinically precise and aggressive drivers out there, we are lucky to be witnessing one of the greatest of all time.
My boy Max destroying those Mercs on any ocasion. And whats more pleasing, he is doing it in a BMW 😁
Thank you for posting this man. I was enjoing watching this after work.
You're welcome, Kyirux. Anytime 😊
Not any occasion...
Imagine being one of the Mercedes teams which were comprised of BMW and Williams E-Sports Drivers and watching in the bottom left Max Verstappen gain 5.5 seconds on you in one lap... Actually ridiculous how good this guy is at adapting to various different vehicle and track types
Tbf it's not that much. It's approximately 1.1% faster. You forget that this is an 8 minute lap, not a 1:30.
I thought I’d only watch a minute or two but it’s mesmerizing and I watched whole thing - just amazing 😵💫🤩
how could he take that much curb without upsetting the car? very smooth steering input.
Suspension and ride height setup
just what i was wondering, i would never dare taking that much kerbs at those speeds especially on Nürburgring, He's unbelievable😲
41:50 the way he defends his position he has just won is amazing!
Honestly , this is the best interview so far from Max 😂
This guy is on another level
Agree with the work ethic, man does he put in. That move on Jonas for P2.... (30.30) mind blowing. Supreme confidence. Good on him, he deserves all that comes his way.
iRacing looks so natural, cant believe that some guys saying the graphics are outdated...
The F1 championship is sewn up already so great for us sim racers that Max still has a challenge to master.
I dont think I need to tell you im not a motor racing fan. I appreciate the sport tremendously, and racing games have always been my favourite, but what impressed me was Max's level of mental endurance and focus at such a frenetic pace, especially when on the heels of a car infront. AND IT WAS DARK. Its like he has every inch of the track intensely committed to memory and could possibly race blind folded. i watched every second just to see if he would slack off for a breather at some point. But nothing. I actually lost focus. Someone commented that his downshifts are a work of art, agreed. Racing is so much more than i realised. Thanks for this.
You're welcome. Thank you for watching and commenting 🙏
Masterclass. Perfect steering inputs- particularly with regards to the amount of turn-in using the entire track and a slow and smooth return to center. Personally, my inputs are not as precise and I return to center too quickly.
That's the difference between an amateur and a professional.
This really has got to be one of the greatest sim racing stints ever done, seriously holy damn.
Can you imagine you are in the AMG and the team telling you’ve got Max Verstappen begin you 😂. I’d crap my pants 😂
You have Max in the BMW ahahah
Since Max has a weekend off now, this is the perfect opportunity for him to hop into the real 24hr this weekend! 😅
It's a shame you never even get to see him anymore in F1. He's out of the broadcast after turn 1 and just doing a casual sunday drive to P1
As a Mercedes team F1 supporter... I've grown to respect Max's ability as a driver. I know it's taboo to give the quote on quote "opposition" respect, but as a sim racer and former racer in general?... Real recognize real. It takes a certain IQ to be great at racing, and just like I respect Lewis ' race craft...I also can and will respect Max's as well
Absolutely, I couldn't agree more.
Quote on quote?
Agreed. Happy to see Max's talent on display. Shows what it takes to have a chance at beating a 🐐
so, you claim that you're real too.
dude he doesnt fail any apex at the right point, putting always the car and gear at perfection
Uneasy just how incredible a driver MV01 seriously is.
iRacing is actually working for 24 hours apart from rFactor. That's cool
I love how no one is mentioning that the 2nd place player on the last lap put up an 8:01 (probably his best lap ever) just trying to keep up with Max
I am Spanish and Alonsista, but Max is and will be my driver since 2021 when he made me reach another dimension with his first title. Super Max is my drug.
Always my preferred place to overtake whithin the deepest night...Mutkurve on the inside! 😨😨😨 I guess that´s the reason why Max may drive the real fast cars. Insane!
How well do you guys think Max would do against top real-life GT drivers like Estre, Vanthoor, etc?
They might be better, they have more experience in those sort of cars.
Well , Estre will be a hard fight, vanthoor for sure crash after Estre give him the car in a non senae battle like always
They only have the advantage of the experience in traffic, but I bet Max is at least 2 seconds quicker per lap
He would obliviously be faster after some training.
Max is just relentless, sim or real world. Amazing to watch really
2 a clock in the morning watching this is so chill.
How is he driving some cornors nearly flat. He is driving such an fluent line. rly nice to watch and learn.
And i want to talk about his downshifts :)
That pass through bravery corner at night. Incredible
its amazing how many seconds a lap he is quicker than all the others... Having max as a teammate is like a cheatcode at this point
We need Max Verstakkin to break the overall record at Nurburgring
Helmut Marko already said that they won't allow Verstappen to do that 😞
I have one word for this. MEGA 💪🏻
He’s that fast it looks like it’s on fast forward at times.
This guy is pretty good, he should try racing in real life
This worked 5 years ago. You’re to late lol.
@@Jeckaa84this would have never worked, he never did anything else....
That’s amazing. I just started my sim racing journey, always played racing games as a kid. As an adult being told I’ll never be allowed to drive(health issues) well now im falling down this rabbit hole😂.
Ah great news. Enjoy the journey my friend
🤜🤛
I think it’s amazing how well pros understand these long courses …helps to drive 1000s of laps in video games /sims , obviously, but still
Its pretty amazing, i cant even keep the car under control at those speeds! I'd love to see his footwork.
when i take those corners that fast I understeed into the wall
yeah same here
So the gap was 12 seconds at the start of the video, in GT cars that’s an insane amount of time gained
🥵🥵his steering lock speeds are so accurate..good tyre management while being fast
This man dedication to racing is top notch. He’s a sim racer thru and thru. Even if he’s not in the sim, you can still find him trolling other drivers in an F1 car.
Please upload more of this siiiick content!!
By far the best road effort I’ve seen on iRacing.
Max will 100% race in the WEC
Oh My God. Alien, full stop.
it's like he's running a TAS, incredible.
Everywhere he goes, he somehows ends beating a Mercedes.
You can really tell this dude lives his job
I struggle during the day max turns into a beast at night 🥶🥶🥶
And he did all that with 4 flat tires... incredible.
Max has godly precision and consistency of a robot. What we are watching is greatness.
this guy i something else - awesome drive
i ride this track irl on 2 wheels and it took me hunderds of laps to learn the curves and equaly important the bumps and hight differences . pros are not human . in a recent interview verstappen said he would like to race this track in a gt3 after he retires so who knows
I used to think I was capable of anything if I put my mind to it. Well, thanks to Max, I am now sure that I wouldn't be him in 300 years of training.
The man is on rails!
Impressive. I like one of your last comment, "without drag"...^^ He improves lap after lap. Max Terminatorstappen is the 2.0 pilot.
His ability to not lose traction once is crazy! mind-blowing!
Every minute is insane perfection but @ 30:40 I have no words.
Imagine what those two have felt seeing Max on their rear mirrors....
At 30:40... wow!
is amazing how he squeezes' well that 5th gear, this guy is the best
I've never seen the Nurburgring being driven this perfectly on EVERY corner until now. OMFG this is why I am a huge Max fan he is not just talented he is gut dedicated to his passion.
Living for it is how you become a champion
There is the old saying - find a job you love and you'll never have to work a day in your life. Max loves his job so much he takes it home with him. I look forward to him loving his current day job for a long long time.
