In the defense’s opening statement, attorney Kaitlyn Stephens said Casey Goodson Jr. waved a gun, ran and pointed his weapon in the direction of Meade.
NOTICE THESE WORDS: "Split second decision," "He grabbed my gun," "He reached for his waistband," "I feared for my life," "He pointed a gun at me," "I thought I was going to die." THESE ARE ALL THE COMMON REPETITIVE WORDS THEY USE WHEN THEY TAKE A LIFE WITHOUT REASON. How often have we heard those words? 😢
Someone needs to teach this attorney how to speak in a clear, calm, and concise manner. Her sharp, loud, boisterous cackling throughout her argument would turn me against her client immediately, and that’s not how the system is supposed to work. She is absolutely a detriment to anyone she represents.
At the end of the day, how in the hell was Casey a THREAT when his back was TURNED and had time to put his keys in the door and open it? How in the hell was he a threat yet ended up with 6 bullets in his body? I don't know about anyone else, but i smell B.S.
Who brandishes a firearm twice without ever firing it? I find it incredulous to think that when the officer discovered the gun in the young man's holster, he suddenly concocted a narrative suggesting the young man had threatened him, thereby justifying the use of deadly force. I am highly skeptical of this explanation, as it lacks any discernible motive for the young man to point a gun at the officer in the first place. It seems more plausible that the young man was simply gun downed, and the officer, aware of the absence of body camera, took advantage of the situation to fabricate a story.
Most competitive attorneys that I think I've seen.... However, it's a wonder if Casey had actually just stopped momentarily for a breather (just allegedly covered considerable distance running in a 4 or so second time span) prior to ultimately stepping into his "safety zone" of which he perhaps felt he had ample time to do at which point. Jason claimed he saw Casey stop his pace and movements abruptly, then shrugged his shoulders (giving the impression of being about to surrender), before suddenly turning towards him with seeming intentions to shoot, if not to kill.... However, it would at least seem more likely anyways... that in the process of Casey pausing momentarily, before quickly barging in his doorway... that he could've happened to turn something of sideways in the process, with a gun in one of his hands of which pointed towards the officer inadvertently.... You'd certainly hope that Casey wouldn't attract a shoot out with all the people in his household and neighbors too. However, it seems (at least from here anyways...) that the prosecution's case is up to ever so largely depending on forensics indicating that there's no way for Casey to have pointed a gun at the defendant. It's a wonder how possible this will be though, being that the defense already has a coroner set to testify that Casey's alleged pointing of a gun WOULD'VE possible and that ot's too speculative ANYBODY to narrow down angles according to the prosecution's depiction of this case.... Lastly, the defendant's claim of a loose gun on the part of Casey being confirmed, Jason I believe (as best recalled) radioing in that he saw Casey running away with a gun (almost as good of evidence as a second officer Co firming), a neighbor claiming to have heard Jason yelling commands to stop on multiple occasions... that said, speculation easily favors a police officer doing his job while the subject of interest had questionable intentions.. However, another major reason to doubt the chance of Casey pulling a sly, quick move to shoot at an officer... is that Jason already had him in sites from behind (gun drawn perhaps, maybe for all Casey could've known...), while Casey would've had to be something of super slick (a lot of co Firenze in his shooting ability) in order to target an armed person of whom was origially out of his site (I'd like to say even peripherals if I have this correct.)
He obviously said this after they found it, he shot him for ignoring his command, couldve also seen it holstered and lied. Pretty easy to lie about when you have a family to lose.
There is no way she really believes any of the things she is saying to defend this man . He saw the bag in his left hand saw the gun in his right hand. But Casey had time to put the keys in the door make this make sense justice for Casey Goodson jr 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
This case should have never came before a court room. Casey Goodson showed a hand gun while driving down a street prompting Jason Meade to investigate. Once Jason Meade caught up to Casey he pointed a gun at Jason resulting in Casey being shot. Casey’s gun was on the floor where he was shot. Jason did not know Casey from a hole in the wall . How did Jason know he had a gun cause he showed the gun . Why was Casey’s gun on floor where he was shot, why did he have it out when being chased by Jason Meade . Yes he had a ccw but it’s obvious it wasn’t concealed because if it was Jason would have never known that he had a gun. It’s not the result anyone wants, but Casey’s actions cause his own Death. You have to ask yourself why did Casey pull his gun 🤔 because if he hadn’t Jason Meade would have never known he was armed . The prosecution should be ashamed of themselves to bring this case to court.
What if jason meade is lying he has plenty to lose and theres video of casey driving and not brandishing a weapon. I pray the lord brings the truth to the light of what jason meades murderous mistakes have done.
If this the same case where i saw a live video of people yelling he don't have a gun and never did but when the gun was found they people started saying so he aint no felon. @@CBUSDTRZ
How do you even know Casey brandished a gun? There is zero evidence this even occurred, only the word of this trigger happy so called police officer. It’s insane how people are just taking the murderer’s word of what happened. Unfortunately, Casey is not here to tell his story. This trigger happy officer is using the typical buzz words they all use to get off. Ridiculous!
A “gunman” who doesn’t shoot, or even take his gun off safety?

Folks brandish their guns all the time and dont use it.
Uhhh it wasn’t in his holster clearly…it wouldn’t have fallen on the kitchen floor had in been in his holster
#JusticeforCasey!!
Why did the officer never have a body cam pr attempt to pull him over before he made it home?
Because he wanted to kill Casey because he's African American 🙄 🤧😤
All of them White in that room. Must be Ohio
