As far as raging in person vs online, it’s that disconnect between the people. While online, you’re pretty much anonymous. In person, you have a face to connect to the name, plus it’s the general tendency to be a bit more reserved and polite in public. Even when someone does rage in public, they are usually still able to show respect to the opponent.
In person at tourney's you are accountable for you actions. They usually have someone there to keep people in check. If nothing else there will be security guard or should have one that can be asked to step in. When your at home at your computer. There is no accountability of your actions, well there is very little. So he can show his ass at home like a child, and no one is really going to care. But in person, you show your ass, and start raging hundreds of people are going to know before you leave the building. Is what i was going to say till I saw your reply. lol.
The reason why people usually don’t get mad or rage in a public setting as much compared to a private setting is because theirs a feeling of less consequences or something like that
About the psychology of raging online vs raging in person. My best educated guess comes from the socio-psychological phenomena, deindividuation. Basically, you act differently when you're physically with other people than when you're by yourself in the same situation because of heightened knowledge that people can and will judge you. Even if you're streaming online, you don't see the viewers as people as much as a physically present audience watching you. This can also explain how Twitter is so much more toxic than the reality of how people are, because posting an opinion online feels easier to do than reciprocating that same opinion in front of a crowd of people.
Exactly, there is no immediate response/consequence for actions. When you are with another person(s) and you say/do something, you get an immediate response (consequence) for what you say or do. But when you have a medium like social media or youtube, you can put something out there an not get any kind of immediate or even physical reaction. I like to call it the “D*ckPic phenomena”, most men would not pull their junk out at a bar or somewhere public for fear of immediate and harsh reaction. But sending a pic over the phone removes the personal and immediate reaction/consequence. So it’s less harsh on the ego. Less judgment. And less negativity for the ego to handle. Almost impunity. Most trolls live and die by this. They can say or do things with little to no physical harsh reaction to their actions. And in fact they get satisfaction from the attention.
your house is a safe space vs in public where u can embarrass yourself in front of an irl audience and get kicked or banned at a tournament and also not socially accepted. there really isnt much psychology involved.

Its not that people dont rage in an offline tournament because you can see your opponent, its all about social pressure. If your still looking at comments on this video I can give a decent explanation for why people don’t get mad when their being watched by others. A RUclipsr called Lazy purple made a video on Team Fortress 2 called How it feels to play sniper, in it he talked about a couple concepts like overcoming bad habits and how isolating it can be. When you are by yourself as sniper trying to headshot players on the enemy team you are the only person who sees the shots you miss and your the only person who can beat themselves up about it, this concept can apply to online fighting games as well because in any other setting besides a tournament your the only person who can judge your actions (unless the other fighter has a mic).
I mean what he did was ban evasion. That's how any system works with a ban system. If you get a temp ban, then make another account to get around that ban, they are gonna drop the hammer on you. As for why he acts differently online as opposed to in person events, I think it has to do with in-person, you can see their face, their expressions. You also know they are bringing their A game to win. Online, if someone is dicking you around with a cheese combo or something, you just automatically assume that they are doing it to be a dick.
When I saw the video title: Oh I don’t know much about the MK community, I wonder if their nastiest players are as bad as Low Tier God? 30 seconds later…
Not a psychologist at all but from experience but people being nicer in person is because they're forced to view you as a human my wife works in collections so all day she has to make annoying assholes see her as a human otherwise they just act like children with a 3month past due car payment
as fellow psychology if someone is really himself/herself and no one else around he/she can fully release all like literally all the feelings of frustration and mad that end result maybe destroy they own properties if they way mad or better term 'to salty' but if he/she involved some people around them they either restrict they salty mode or act like a good boy or girl cuz they sometimes aware that other people had something worth that drive them want something even do anything as long they satisfied. if not they will continue on that never end of satisfied journey despite they already had something but they mind think it actual never satisfied enough.
It's not hard to explain. Usually there are no immediate repercussions if you do it online instead of in from of a people. That's why most people are toxic online.
There's a huge disconnect when you're playing online. You can't see their face or perceive how they're reacting to things so it's entirely possible to project the worst qualities onto them to fill the void, whereas even just being able to hear their voice alone removes so much of that confusion and will probably make you way more calm and understand how and why they're doing things. I'm pretty guilty of this myself, though I'm not proud to admit it. Sometimes someone playing well and trying to win can be misread as them bullying you or using shitty tactics on purpose, but a lot of times they'll tab into my stream and be like "hey gg, man. you're pretty good" and it kinda reminds me to not judge a book by its cover and just enjoy the game, y'know?
LTG is the guy that let a character he played get ahead of him. Then he couldnt tell the difference between the character he played and the actual rage he had for people mocking him.
I'd imagine why rage at home is higher is because it's the unknown predator effect. You know you're losing, it's clear, and you are in your own home, with your most comfortable setup, and yet, it's not enough. This is why you're more aggitated much quicker when you lose to a faceless opponent via the internet.
You know, if LTG was just a humble dude and didn't rage and was just overall chill people wouldn't have a need to post him. People tune in to see him rage and lose it when he gets outplayed so if you take that away what are they gonna watch for? after that they'll just be watching cuz they genuinely like him as a person. He has the power to take away the power from all these channels who upload his stuff by just not being toxic and ragequiting. I guarantee you if it wasn't for the way he acts and his ragequits no one would have paid attention to this guy.
I would guess that the reason people stay composed in public places like tournaments is because they’ll be judged for their reactions and their reputations can be destroyed by one desk slam
So I'm no psychologist, but I have heard about why we experience road rage. It's a little bit of the stress from being in a fast moving death machine surrounded by other death machines, but the biggest factor is the disconnect from humanity. We don't see the human in the car, we see a thing, this thing cut me off, this thing is riding my a**. Why am I talking about cars, I think it may be why it's so much easier to rage at home playing online, there's no human connection, this thing is spamming projectiles, this thing has crappy connection etc
I think my fav LTG thing was it was either him or DSP that got into an online match against Maximilian Dood. And Max did not acknowledge who they were at all. Oh the chat knew. But Max just played the match then moved on. That's my fav way to handle folks like LTG.
Video idea: The most creative guest character ever made. Kratos in MK9 included a lot of the weapons and abilities from the games, but even more than that, he had QTEs in his attack strings! I mean how cool is that? As far as I'm aware, that's never been the case in another NetherRealm game! I mean Injustice and MKX had chain inputs on some attacks, but Kratos' were full on quick time events with button prompts flashing on screen and almost cinematic looking attacks! And since he was console exclusive, it gives players who only played xbox insight on a character they may know almost nothing about!
Ngl it is a great idea and I always wanted a Kratos video from trueunderdawg but the problem is he played on xbox 360 so he doesn't have kratos and you can't find a bunch of videos about kratos because he was exclusive
I think the difference between online in and in person is thats a bigger sense of control offline, like online people can do things that wouldn't work in a real tournament setting and that feeling of losing to something that shouldn't even work can easily short circuit the rage receptors.
The anger thing could be either the inability to see if someone is screwing you with cheating but there’s a multiple of psychological reasoning for the online anger yet the public is a different beast all together in public there’s so much more consequences to becoming angry in public which can cause the hesitation to express your negative emotions
He's 39 years old. I really doubt that anyone ANYONE can keep up that act for 20 years, let alone the start of his internet persona. Even your favorite youtubers learned and grew from their old content. LTG is still that hate filled character as you call it till this day. I don't think he's acting. There will be a time where all of his fans and trolls move on from him, and come back and see that he's still the same LTG they once knew him. The only difference is that they, the viewers grew up, and did something with their life. Unlike LTG, a convict felon, who can't do anything except e-beg.
Low Tier God livestreamed himself going onto my facebook page looking for roast material before being banned from youtube entirely. I understand your hesitation.
Why people do not get as angry when it is face to face is because there is to much repucussion. Compared when you rage in your car out in traffic and online there's less repucussion, you are more anonymous and you feel less endangerd= you feels safe enough to act emotionally. I hope you are satesfied with my answer. I have read psychology for three years and the first year wad socialopsychology in gymnasium. Where I got to learn this knowledge I have shared.
I think the whole game tournament rate control comes from the fact that you can be a raging asshole online and all people see is a username At a tournament people can see you, figure out who you are, and can cause you to leave a permanent impression on everyone watching you
The part about keeping his anger in check segment, nah he knows if he talked shit in public the same way he talks when he is alone, he would have gotten checked instantly in public

You also know they are bringing their A game to win. Online, if someone is dicking you around with a cheese combo or something, you just automatically assume that they are doing it to be a dick.
I never that uploading on secondary channel while in temp ban period could ban you permanently. Thanks for the info. Stay up friend
I loved the bloodborne music at 1:01 when the banned youtuber was throwing insults 😂
LTG is a crybaby and narcissist who couldn't cut it online 😂😂😂
Video Idea: The Most Common to see Players in Mortal Kombat Online
When I saw the video title: Oh I don’t know much about the MK community, I wonder if their nastiest players are as bad as Low Tier God?
30 seconds later…
People don't get as angry in person because they don't want to get a fist to the face.
I don't buy that it's fake at all. Dale's behavior hits almost every single box of a cult as well as several mental illnesses.
Not a psychologist at all but from experience but people being nicer in person is because they're forced to view you as a human my wife works in collections so all day she has to make annoying assholes see her as a human otherwise they just act like children with a 3month past due car payment
Enough research on this sad thing for a human and you'll see just how much he deserves the hate and trolls he gets
Force quitting from the main menu is the only combo LTG doesn’t drop.
I’ve always thought he seemed like he’d be a super cool and funny content creator if it wasn’t for the toxicity and racism and what not.
This man, in general, I’m glad he’s banned, LTG was HATED in every community for how bad he was.
Absolutely and rightfully so he is a child predator too
@@Thehunter905 where’s the proof on that?
@@Perdix64 lmao what did he say that he had to delete his comment
@@pipehelix5776 his comment is still there for me
1 thing that I can respect him is his spirit but that's about it, but I hope no one acts like they don't rage.
It is beyond my comprehension how people manage to enjoy that kind of content creators like LTG provide. I got that tastes are different but man
as fellow psychology if someone is really himself/herself and no one else around he/she can fully release all like literally all the feelings of frustration and mad that end result maybe destroy they own properties if they way mad or better term 'to salty' but if he/she involved some people around them they either restrict they salty mode or act like a good boy or girl cuz they sometimes aware that other people had something worth that drive them want something even do anything as long they satisfied. if not they will continue on that never end of satisfied journey despite they already had something but they mind think it actual never satisfied enough.
Bro your actual right like realistic fact right cuz there are no other way to said it. Well done bro😎
It's not hard to explain. Usually there are no immediate repercussions if you do it online instead of in from of a people. That's why most people are toxic online.
The disrespect on mike trollinski
No disrespect lol I love his channel. In this video I show Mike to prove how rage channels can be a positive and fun thing.
@@TrueUnderDawgGaming it wasn’t anything criticising love ur channel ❤️
LTG and DSP salt compilations videos feels really great to be honest.
Not when you realize people pay them better than most people with blue collar jobs.
@@MarquisLeary34 it's unfortunately how the world works, and it's probably even worse when looking at woman with onlyfan and stuff...
Nah he really did Mike like that
haha
Respect for the Mike Trollinski shoutout
YOOO MIKE TROLLINSKI LETS GO!!! 💛
Ayyyeeee the first clip was me! Lmfaooo😅😅😅. Much love Underdog ❤❤❤ keep doing what you do best braddah.
I thought he was playing up a persona too, until he started doxxing people who made fun of him. Compilation channels ironically made me aware of him.
You know he the same mf who punked out of fights irl few years back
Yup dawg that’s him
I'd imagine why rage at home is higher is because it's the unknown predator effect.
It was ban in Australia in 1992 but currently no idea about Mk 11
The one time where he doesn't say Stay Underdawgs. x3
I love that the thumbnail is also the same for the most toxic character video.
Video idea:
The most creative guest character ever made.
@Philippe Azzi On PS4 you can stream MK9 and you still get to use Kratos
@@jamesfields2609 yeah You're right
We should not be rewarding people for behaving this way.
You mentioned Mike Trollinski? HAHAHAHAHA!! He's a great content creator!
I feel as if people dont rage as much in live tournaments because it has a more fun and community sense to it rather than sitting alone.
Bro called out Mike😂
Mike trollinski is basically low tier god updated
LTG has one of the fastest rage quitting combo ever he'd rage quit so fast before the match even ends....man's pretty much a master of the craft
Saw the title and immediately thought "Man is it about LTG?" So glad I clicked this video 🤣
Low Tier God livestreamed himself going onto my facebook page looking for roast material before being banned from youtube entirely. I understand your hesitation.
I'm amazed this guy has lasted as long as he has with some of the things he has said, fake or not
6arakin has taken ltg's place 😂
Why people do not get as angry when it is face to face is because there is to much repucussion. Compared when you rage in your car out in traffic and online there's less repucussion, you are more anonymous and you feel less endangerd= you feels safe enough to act emotionally.
I hope you are satesfied with my answer. I have read psychology for three years and the first year wad socialopsychology in gymnasium. Where I got to learn this knowledge I have shared.
I think the whole game tournament rate control comes from the fact that you can be a raging asshole online and all people see is a username
At a tournament people can see you, figure out who you are, and can cause you to leave a permanent impression on everyone watching you
Making us frost mains look bad :(
Didn't expect this crossover LOL
You'll also die from alcohol poisoning if you take a shot every time this guy touches/moves his hat.
The part about keeping his anger in check segment, nah he knows if he talked shit in public the same way he talks when he is alone, he would have gotten checked instantly in public
I love how LTG presses the menu to avoid looking at his character getting super'd, xray'd etc. It's very childish lmao
Don't use strings, and he'll leave you alone
So you cannot upload to any auxiliary channels if your main one is even temporarily banned?
Damn. That sucks.
Not only this guy named Dale Wilson (that's his real name) talks shit about people and commands others to flag channels...
He groomed a minor as well by the name of Alaina Haddad. She was 17 while Dale was 29.
He dox'd JoonTheKing, Trevor Belmont, SlayerWSS and that one kid who beat his ass on SFV.
Laughed at a veteran committing suicide and called him a "weak ass n-word" for doing so. He laughed at people dying in general. Bro has no remorse.
Transphobic, homophobic and racist to his own race he calls his own "honey badgers/Balrog" as his racist lingo for black people.
There are other shit that you all need to know about Dale "Black DSP" Wilson.
I heard that he made fun of a disabled person.
@@DereckMc360yeah, BrolyLegs. Called him to Krang.
I can vouch for the rest of it, but where'd you pull the grooming one from? I want a source on that.

This is why I don't do fighter or fps games. People take it way too seriously.
I hope the story lines get better and longer even farm story lines for extra XP when you need to. Story Mode is fun for sure. Hope they add training modes that help you learn your favorite characters.
I didn’t even have to click on the video to immediately know it was LTG LMAO
This guy so toxic he challenge any smash players to a fight street fighter 5 and got destroyed
Of course Dale doesn't get mad in public, his ego doesn't let him.
It's a shame that when the bully was taken out of the space, all the victims (for lack of a better word) got brave all of a sudden.
He isn't a pretty good player, he's mediocre. He thinks he's good though.
I like how he just put Mike trollinski when he said that people became popular because of raging😂
You said LTG and i audibly sighed “your life is worth nothing you serve zero purpose”
So we're just ignoring the existence of Netotigr? No? Noone remembers him? That's not that strange.
Yeah. That loser doesn't deserve to be remembered.
the most insecure guy in gaming
found you
I'm surprised you covered him. I wouldn't even consider him a Mortal Kombat player..
