It sucks that you can't change the screen orientation on this model.

I just got it out of the box for the first time. Would not power on. Don't they have these half charged already?

What matters most is how fast the unit set up a route, and how quickly it can redirect after a missed turn, and I never saw any real time testing of that sort of thing here, so I don't truly know if it's any good on the road or not. This was not of great help, but in all fairness it says 'review' not 'test' .

Crap review. He doesn't even know what a mini USB jack is. Some tech reviewer.

Why didn't you show an example of using the search mode like typing in an address, and does it tell you the distance and arrival time with the speed limits as you are driving? What if one has a vehicle with a windshield that is almost your full arm length away as how do you drive and fight to reach the screen? Is there a dash mount for it so it can sit closer to the driver so as to be easy to reach while driving? Does it have a battery backup so one can program all your addresses into it before you take it to your car?

You shouldn't be touching it whilst driving... Wait till your kid gets hit by a idiot who does that... Disgusting

Dumbest comment I've seen in a while. Hes asking valid questions such as if you can reach it from the driver seat and you turned it into car homicide. You must be fun at parties@@Anarchist007

I bought this primarily for entering Canada from NY. Going off my cellular service (roaming). And we travel a lot through Adirondack and New England states that are mountainous like Vermont.

Reviewed a navigator and never actually navigated with it.

I’m in the United States, and I can’t figure out how to change the country to Canada.

    Does it cover Canada?

Thanks for the review. I have an old garmin gps, and it was very useful before I had a good data plan on my phone. Nowadays, it is harder to justify additional device, but I can see it being used where there is bad cell phone reception when going camping to the wilderness or when traveling to another country and don't want to use roaming.

That's why I'm looking into these. My bus driving job sent me on a charter trip through the dead zone. Scariest shit ever.

Stand alone GPS is the way to go. These phone apps are popping up ads, won't start unless you log in if it was a long time you haven't used them, will be useless in remote areas, will probably heat up your phone and drain the batts, etc. I learned the hard way that phone apps are ok but unreliable. Stand alone GPS are now well under 200 bucks and last for years, no monthly plan, no fees, etc. And they just work.

This review is not very good. You didn't use it. You didn't cover any upgrades or updates, Adding maps e.t.c. How long can you use it unplugged? How are the voices? Searching for different types of destinations, addresses, interesting places. Route alternatives? This is more like an unboxing than a review.

Just got one! I am a driver for a company that doesn’t allow phones out in the vehicle. So I am hoping this works 🤞

This thing is horrible. No Bluetooth connectivity. Have to update with computer, lousy auto search. BT recommended. Antiquated technology.
