For the full size tool you’re looking for check out the Schrade Tough Tool ST11. It folds out on two directions so has full size scissors and pliers. Has the advantage of a non-locking knife for UK legal carry too. Nextool also do a couple with that same double scissor/plier design. I have the small one which is very good but have not tried the full size one yet.
Thanks for the heads up Phil. I'll definitely check this out. I find it surprising none of the other big name have never made a tool like this. Awesome heads up, thanks 👍
@@MoorlanderEDC No problem at all. Only recently discovered your videos but am finding them very useful. Picked up a few Helikon-Tex item largely based on your reviews. Had the Compact Shoulder bag for a few weeks and really like it. Their Bushcraft Satchel arrived yesterday and the Urban Admin Pouch landed on my doorstep this morning. Just getting that attached to the end of the Satchel and I think that’s going to work out pretty well. Thinking I’ll keep any knives/multi-tools in that removable section of the pouch so if I’m going anywhere that they’d be a problem I can just leave that section behind. Keep up the great work!
I find it the other way round, most multi tools have scissors (usually weak) when I much prefer decent pliers.
Well... That's you off the Christmas card list 😆 Do you have a go to multitool? I'm hoping to get some more multitool content out this year. Thanks for watching buddy
@@MoorlanderEDC Yep, the Gerber Dime for everyday pocket carry. Leatherman in my daily EDC bag. 👍
Hi like the look of this SOG multi tool thanks for another terrific review 👍😁
Thanks Ricky. I agree, they're definitely changing lots of people's opinions of them
I have just received one, thanks for the review, my handles do not seem to have the same offset as yours.
Hmmmmm... The plot thickens 😆 How do you like yours Nick?
@@MoorlanderEDC I got mine as a lightweight carry to control the brambles on the local dogwalk. Not sure that they are up to anything but the thinnest shoots but as small scissors they seem pretty good.
Agree with the scissors on a multitools and I 'regret' not chosen and paid a little much when I bought my Victorinox Swisstool Spirit (with a serrated knife and without scissors, that is less interesting for my usage)
They used a lot here 👍 I've been meaning to pick up a Swiss Tool. I watched Jon Gadget's content a few months back and he sold me on them. Thanks for watching Raphael
Looked at these a few times let's see what you think :) already wondering how they compare to the micra
Hey fella... I can not either confirm nor deny that this is already in the works 😉😏 I'm also curious how they compare too
@@MoorlanderEDC 😂🤣 great minds think alike. I'm now just watching the maxpedition pocket pouch even though I already have one 😄
I watch a lot of content on stuff I own too. Love it 😂
Evening Mate,
Would you rather carry these, or a pocket knife & the Gerber Neat Freak?
I get what you're saying. I think I'd rather do both. I generally carry a knife with out other tools on it as well as this (or the Style or Squirt) as a secondary tool. These can't handle hardcore cutting like the Neat freaks... Perfect for paper and nasal hair 😊
@@MoorlanderEDC Victorinox scissors were made for nasal hair. An army marches on it's well groomed nostrils.

I also like SAKs a lot but unlike you that means that in fact I avoid scissor based multitools, specifically because the Victorinox scissors are the best imho. Plus I've seen negative reports about tools like the Leatherman Micra and Style CS scissors not being able to cleanly cut paracord, as it tends to kind of wedge between the blades, and I've heard something similar about the SOG Snippet. I tend to pair a SAK like the Climber or Pioneer X with a plier-based multitool, for example one I take with me in an EDC bag with my bike repair gear is the SOG Micro Toolclip which has it's flaws but the pliers are pretty robust for a multitool that size. I like the look of the PowerPint but as far as I'm aware it has a locking blade.
Having said all that I see there is a difference in types of scissors and these are more like shears than the Vic scissors. I have a small multitool which is getting more and more pocket time which has these but also pliers, and that is the Nextool Flagship Mini. It's scissors are excellent and cleanly snip through paracord, and I find it better than the LM Squirt PS4 not only in terms of the scissors (which on the Squirt are not that good, at least not as good as Vic 58mm scissors) but also in terms of a better profiled, more durable Philips with a longer reach, a sturdier knife blade with a stronger backspring, and as well as having a can opener which works in a pinch, the bottle opener is much better. I still carry the Squirt as more of a ''gentleman's carry'' as it is more compact and looks nicer and I still like it but I find the Nextool outperforms it in most tasks.
Morning Simon. YOu may have caught me lacking on that front as far as testing. Cutting paracord will be added to the list of daily tings to try out. I guess that's where I need to up my testing as I just keep them with me to test in my general day to day life. Plenty of box opening and cutting open packages... and those pesky nasal hairs 😆
I used to have the Squirt, however I had the now discontinued S4 version which has the scissors rather than pliers, similar to the micro. Unfortunately it's MIA in the Moorlands somewhere
@@MoorlanderEDC Thanks for your reply mate. Didn't mean to sound disparaging about your SOG Snippet and tbh if you need to cut paracord you're most likely in the woods and have another cutting implement with which to do it anyway, like you say day to day tasks are more probably banal things like opening packaging and trimming nasal hairs. Must say I find the 58mm SAK scissors best for precision hair trimming.
Nah then me owd. I'm really starting to like all of SOG's products.
Ey up fella. To be fair, they were never on my radar either however this last year or so has opened up my eyes a bit 😊 they've even started to make bags and other gear too
@@MoorlanderEDC I have their Terminus knife and love it
Hands down the toughest slip joint I own. It's thought as boots 👍
Sympathique mais un peut cher pour ce que c'est ✌️
Je pense que cela pourrait être dû au taux de conversion de la livre anglaise en francs français 😆😆😆😆😆 Tous les milléniaux se demandent "qu’est-ce qu’un franc?"
