Kathy you are just absolutely AMAZING!!!! That hand embroidery.....HONEY it's beyond anything I've ever seen. SO SO SO beautiful!!!!! Thank you for sharing your knowledge and talent with us :)
Linda Burton here again. I’d like to apologize for my previous comment. Your tutorials and skills are SUPERB! Thank you so much for sharing your skills. Please forget my earlier comment. 🙏
I love all that you are showing. The dresses are soo sooo beautiful. I love to learn everything to make my sewing more finished. Thank you so much for your explanation.
Your work is amazing! I love lace and I am really looking forward to your videos. I would love to make my granddaughter a pretty little lace dress. I'm glad I found your channel.
Gosh.... This is all very beautiful. I'm not sure my skills are up to what you are doing, but I'm sure going to watch and learn. Very, very impressive sewing.
Ooh - these videos are lovely. I do so hope you do some more in the "Heirloom Sewing" series. There's quite a community of stitchers/dressmakers around the world who love vintage and historic sewing and garments. These videos must be some of the best-kept secrets on youtube and most definitely deserve a much wider viewing. (Not all of us who love the historic "lingerie blouses" from the Edwardian period and so on want to spend weeks on end hand sewing them, after all.) I learned a lot these techniques myself from books back in the 1980s (remember Sew Beautiful, Australian Smocking and Embroidery and Creative Needle?) and there was no youtube back then to help! May I suggest that you add key words like Vintage, Edwardian, Lingerie and Victorian to your videos for this series so that more people who love this type of sewing find your videos?
What model Bernina would you suggest for heirloom sewing, and also quilting? I want the heirloom stitches, fine buttonholes, etc. I am not as concerned about machine embroidery, although that is something I might add later.
@@annblair4459 it was beautiful wasn’t it. Some of the laces shown may no longer be available but please check our website at www.ginasbernina.com. Most everything I own was purchased there but as I mentioned in the video those shown were from my collection obtained over the years. There are many beautiful laces and eyelets so I’m sure you can find something similar if that particular one is no longer available. Thank you so much for watching and commenting.
All the pieces look just stunning. Thank you for sharing!
Excellent video… Thank you!
This is amazing! I’m just discovering heirloom sewing and your videos are super helpful! I wish there was more videos in this series.
Thank you, Kathy! You’re a wonderful teacher!

Now I finally understand the difference between ecru and ivory. Thank you! Is there a difference between beading and eyelet?

Thank you so much Ann. I’m not sure my hands would allow me to do it now. I may give it a try though.

Great video. Very informative. But the mispronunciation of Entredeux sounds to me like fingernails on a blackboard. So sorry. 😢
