@@psychstudy6687 you don't really need a DAC for Blon BL03. The difference is totally noticeable and it's an improvement for sure, but they don't need a DAC to drive them. If you have something like a Moondrop Chu, then i will definitely say get the DAC as the difference with that is VAST.
I dont think so. There are very few DACs that I know of that support pass through for microphones. The ddHiFi Hi-Res DAC being one of them, but it won't support pass through on iOS devices and isn't supported on the S22, S23 & S24 for now.
@@PaulsPOV i already have a Razer sound card which has mic passthrough, i wonder if getting the shanling would be absolutely worth it over the ddhifi since i vc with people alot so I might have to keep switching between the two dacs also the shanling is out of my budget, its 2k more than what I was willing to spend, if it's absolutely worth it il get it (i.e its substantially better for 2k more and no mic passthrough)
Don't expect it to be substantially better. It'll have its own coloring for sound. I recently did a comparison between the iFi Go Link and ddHiFi Hi-Res DACs, and they're both pretty good but have minor differences in the way they sound. Expect the same with the shanling.
Sadly, this has been discontinued. My two favorites are the iFi Go Link and the ddHiFi Hi-Res DAC. I've made a comparison video between them. Feel free to give it a look if you'd like to.

Hi Paul, Big Billion Days and Great Indian Festivals are upcoming, So can u make a video about the best deals for TWS in these sales(once its live oc) if u get the time. It would help a lot.
I haven't tested the Tempotec so wouldn't want to give you any wrong information. I'm sure the guys at HeadphoneZone will be able to guide you in the right direction between these two.
I havent tested any wired headphones in this price range but feel free to go through the IEMs I've tested it this series. All of them sound well over their price range.
I dont see why not Ankit. As long as it's connected to a Type C female it'll work. Unless you want to connect to a USB A port, for that, it does come with an adapter.
@@PaulsPOV actually sometimes apple doesn't allow that. Like Sonata hd Pro has type c for Android but doesn't work with iPad pro unless you buy their ios version which has mifi chip. If you have ipad pro with type c try to check. Otherwise I'll update here if find out this answer somewhere

I havent heard the Fiio Dacs but I believe they make ones with lightning connectors. I've owned Fiio products for years and quite like them and they're still going strong 8yrs later. The guys at HeadphoneZone should have a portable one with lightning.
I was looking for a good DAC and this video popup in my feed, Thanks for the review
Hello Paul! I can confirm that the usage of an DAC like this provides really better sound. I have an iBasso DC02 and this DAC get also slightly warm.
I've heard good things about iBasso. Keen on trying out a few.
Hi. Which one is better this or ibasso?
Keep going PAUL! Amazing as always
You are such a genuine reviewer.
Is this enough for driving cca pla 13 planar iems?
I myself bought the UA1 Pro from headphone zone about 2 months ago. Pair them with the Blon BL03. They sound great!
Happy listening Harsh 😊
Bro, I am looking to buy this for Blon BL03. Could you explain your experience? Is it highly noticeable with and without this DAC?

Can a full-size headphone such as sennheiser hd600 be powered by this??
It'll struggle a bit to drive the HD600, being a 300 Ohm set. This is best paired with lower impedance headphones or IEMs.
My device have type a port can I use it with type a to type c converter?
This comes with a Type A to Type C converter in the box.
