    As beautiful as the houses are. The most ugly part of it all is the open drainage system especially in a quiet urban neighbourhood like this. We need to invest more on underground drainage and cable system which have seen in some estates in Lagos.

    It was ndubusi Kanu as first governor of imo state that layed the foundation of Owerri before Dede mbakwe came in as the first civilian governor of imo state

      I swear, I was born and raised in Benin city Edo but my first time in Owerri imo state, I was proud to come from Imo state Nigeria, i have plan of relocating to Owerri but all I need is money and I pray God will answer my prayers, God bless Edo state Nigeria because it is the state i have in all my life…..I love Edo state so much

    That's the master plan laid down by the late Rear Admiral Ndubuisi Kanu when he was the military governor of the old Imo state. A swish company did the area survey and plan of this modern city. Those were the days we had selfless Igbo leaders, not today's chop chop corrupt governors. It's good to know that his successors are working with the plan.

    Do Nigerian Cities Has Any Sanitation Department. Why are Nigeria Streets so littered with garbage? From this Videos Owerri seems to be a much cleaner city than most cities in Nigeria.

      Every Eastern State has its uniqueness and beauty. Imo state should not copy but instead draw inspiration from Ebonyi state road network. We could choose to have a different type of road layout which makes us distinguishable from other Eastern States.

      Nigeria is not as populated and overcrowded as the international community believe. Outside of a few of the more commercial cities like Lagos and maybe Kano, where everyone goes, Nigeria is sparsely inhabited. Some of our terrorism problems may be related to this. People from outside Nigeria can migrate into Nigeria en mass, set up communities in vast empty spaces and our government and people would be none the wiser.
