Another great video, I can't get enough of the Blend-If option. This lesson by far really demonstrated how powerful the tool is. Wonder if you could have also played with the blend modes. Thanks for the great lesson!!
Thanks for the tutorial! I do most of my editing in Lightroom but there have been a few times where I wished I could better fine-tune highlights and shadows and now I know what to do when globals aren't cutting it!
What is the purpose of the blend if sliders if you don't split them with Alt? what are they for? they pretty much destroy the image if you don't split them. Thanks for the tutorial!
I used this method since a coulple of years. You have more control but it wouldn't be easier just to open camera raw and adjust lights and shadows from there?
All the screen manipulations that you do are a mystery to me. How do you move the slates around, and resize them. You go through this so fast it's not apparent. Please do a video or link to one that shows how to set up your workspace and how to manipulate it. Thanks,
This is amazing, I also was scared of photoshop for some reason... but i really wanna learn how to do this same thing in Capture One. I want them to have a "blend if" tool.
I have a weird issue happening with my one basically, I did all the numbers and everything in the levels adjustment exactly as in the video, but the fence and the person are kinds of looking darker than they are supposed to. Yeah, in the video, the fence is much lighter and the person doesn't look like that orange. But when I edit it and put in the numbers exactly as the video told, then the fence becomes pitch black and the person becomes orange. In general, or has anybody gotten this like a problem? Because if so, is there any way of fixing it? Is there something that I click that made a difference?

Not sure why but after I double click on the layer and attempt to adjust the levels, it doesnt reflect on my image? does anyone have a solution to this?
@@phlearn ty for responding! i figured it out. I didnt realize that you first had to actually make changes to the Levels adjustment layer before you can see any changes reflected on the Layer Style box
Can't help but smile back when watching Aaron.

Loving this series Aaron!!!
If most of the exposure issues can be corrected using levels/Curves and bland if, when would you use Exposure Adjustment Layer ?

Hi Aaron, How do you move the photo around in your work flow? Mine doesn't move. Cheers and Thanks.
By using MOVE tool, the first tool on the left. Or by pressing "v" on the keyboard. Cheers
Perfect, thank you
