I'm only halfway through the video, so I might be mentioning something that happens, but Tainted Maggie's 6X damage melee contact hug that guarantees half-red-heart drops seems like it would be incredible combined with Midas Touch and Money = Power. Oh, and add some Sigil of Baphomet in there, and damn...
Useful Tainted Maggy tip: Rotten heart overheal in containers after the 2nd does not bleed out over time. Since you bleed red hearts before blue/black, this means that having a rotten heart in your 3rd heart container will preserve your blue/black hearts (you still take damage as normal, of course). This is helpful if you're at a point in the game where your hug-melee damage isn't very good, or you want to conserve your extra hp for some reason. As a bonus, you continually bleed creep, even though you're not losing hp.
I'll admit that D10 is rarely useful, but 3 rooms after he trashes it, he runs into enemies that he can't reach and would be better off re-rolled. It's important to note that D10 rerolls enemies into ones with similar HP.
Late to the party but the reason this run pogged up is thanks to Chemical Peel, it"s a +2 flat dmg up on half your tears, and flat dmg ups ignore the Soy Milk damage multiplier. It's an excellent synergy

Wait, does he think ONLY the grey areas on the post it note unlock stuff? NL, the grey areas unlock 1 thing if you beat everything in them (Issac, Blue Baby, Satan, Lamb combined) and the other marks (Mega Satan, The Beast etc.) unlock 1 item each
Tainted maggie is fun, it adds speed to the game, something it sorely lacks after this expansion. Tainted cain however, is just not picking up items until you finish the floor, then look at what you have, tab out, look up recipes or hope that someone has sussed out an optimal meta list for which items to get so you can finish the post-it quickly with him. He is, in my opinion, an absolute disaster of design. It's an okay idea in theory but it works terribly in execution and if you just wing it, you keep getting the same eight items over and over again, due to how rare some of the consumables are.
Hard agree lol. Tainted Cain is incredibly boring and frustrating. I have a screenshot of a perfect example, where I got so pissed i just ditched him since then. 2 Soul Hearts, 2 Nickels, a DIME, 2 Bombs and a Red Heart. What do you get? Mom's Underwear. Amazing. 2 Floors of saving items, swapping out bad ingredients trying to wing it instead of just crafting Alabaster box and that's what you get. It's terrible... Or you craft Alabaster Boxes for 1 Floor, get Mom's Knife and a little bit of HP and beat whatever Boss you want 1st try...

NL is gonna be pissed at me but Built to Spill is probably my least favorite band of that genre/era of rock. Much prefer Dismemberment Plan, Pavement and Yo La Tengo.
