Bro those are some nice pups ret there. Yep I had a dog one time so gun shocked if I just picked the gun up he would take off lol...………………….. Yep he became an instant yard dog lol
Yea sir. He got real sick in October and passed on me. Vet tried everything they could to heal him. I messed up and didn’t notice the signs he was sick
My Gordon Setter loves gun fire. I believe he associates it with hunting which is his favorite thing. I cant even have him outside while shooting a 22 or he runs in the direction of the gun fire looking for pheasants. My friend on the other hand has an Irish setter that will run away if there is a loud noise 500 yds away. I did the same thing you did to condition my dog. Shoot the gun far away from the dog, then reward him.
I used to take my dogs and mules down to the gun club when they were shooting trap where they would get a lot of attention so they would see it as a good experience
@@BigpawdogginDecoyingcoyotes No not really they had heard gunshots from a distance after a few trips to the gun club was able to shoot off their backs 22 pistol
@@BigpawdogginDecoyingcoyotes Dang, thats too bad! I'm new to your channel and have been watching your videos on ideas of how to get my 12wk Airedale pup started as a decoy dog. Any advice you'd be willing to part with to a new decoy dog trainer?

yes. can cut a tail off start making it a game.
My wife ruined her dog, every time it thundered she’d baby him, now when someone shoots he acts like he’s a little bitch.
I know what ya mean. Mine stay in a pen. Try not let family treat them as pets. Hunting dogs. But when ya have two girls hard to do when they are pups
