Hope you had a great Christmas and are feeling better :) I can't wait for your ep 6 reaction!! It was such a healing episode and the performances were so much fun!
@Lololoetje it was so funny and there were unexpected victories :) also an insane high note (surprise, it wasn't park han or jl!!), a really good vocal performance, and a whole performance that was centred around visuals, you'll see (winkwink)
Omgg i lovee your reactions all the time!😭 I always wait and get excited whenever you post a Universe Leauge rv its nice to see you always🫶 also merry Christmas! Hopefully in the future you get to know unis which is universe leauge's sister and they came from the 1st sbs survival show namely Universe Ticket Which was one of the best survival show that ive watched imo
Episode 6 was so much fun! Hope you got to watch it already. Everyone got screentime and got noticed. With the happy party atmosphere, they were able to show their personalities. And thank you for your perspective. I'm not a boy group fan, but I enjoyed the first season of the Universe franchise which formed girl group, Unis. I love your perspective because I don't know what to look out for when it comes to boy groups. I like the Universe franchise because compared to other survival shows, it doesn't have as much evil editing, and it seems as if they're treating the contestants right. I'm also watching your reaction to other survival shows because I'd like to see who would debut alongside the lineup of this show. Thank you for your summaries! I look forward to your next upload!
I just asked from your previous video about the thought process of not including JL in your lineup. It was good seeing you did a retake and include him. I just know that he is meant to debut since he's so talented to let go.
14:16 as a huge fan of gangdong it really hurts me seeing him being outshined by other only because he lacks a bit of stage presence even though he’s so talented😭💔
such a great video, I am quite ignorant and to me all of the contestants feel like they are great but your analysis helps me understand the strengths and weaknesses of every contestant. now, my 2 cents nobody asked for. This is a bit of defending the writers and editors working in MNET, SBS, ... (i hope nobody minds, please do not hate me) 1- is there evil editing? i do not want to believe there are writers and/or editors working to destroy any contestant reputation. They are just doing their job. They do not make up stuff. The conflicts are there, and they just show it using appealing/entertaining narratives. They might magnify it, but that is about it. 2- woongki/kyung-ho: if anything woongki ends up looking a bit worse in this conflict. kyungho feels like a sweet guy, a bit simple (for lack of a better word) who is genuinely confused about why woongki is ignoring him. Wongki feels like he is quite conflicted about being in yet another survival (and probably about personal stuff that we do not know), and to be honest i thought he was about to have a mental breakdown. If anything, it shows another side of Woongki and makes him more multidimensional and complex than the usual entertaining over the top guy. Another thing. The conflict in terms of storytelling and also technically was really well crafted. There was a presentation of the conflict, a buildup and a climax. And the climax was technically amazing. The sound of woonki crying overflowing the stage and the waiting rooms was quite impressive. If anyone is into broadcasting techniques, and not only about stage performances and stuff,, this was really well done. Credit to the teams behind the cameras. 3- was all the "drama" necessary: my answer is yes. to me this is not just "drama". This is a reminder for viewers and fans that there are complex human beings with complex feelings behind all the glitter. We could be here discussing all day who dances better or who has greater stage presence. But it will not matter if contestants are not mentally strong enough to endure all the struggles, miseries and hustling that come within this job, from the beginning but also long after debuting. These narratives about older contestants who have already debuted and who are uber talented having to go back to survivals are useful and necessary. If from these storylines a younger contestant realises that she/he is not mentally prepared to put up with all of this and decides to change career, then the "drama" is worth it. And actually, any conflict shown, about distribution of parts and stuff can be also really helpful to understand team work, maturity and restraint. So personally, i do not think it is superfluous and/or evil. 4- why do some contestants have more screen time than others: that has nothing to do with your video but hey, my english is getting better. Here we have 2 choices. We can choose to think that there are evil forces trying to manipulate results (like in the infamous produce 101) or we can think that writers and editors have to fill up segments of the show with entertaining storylines and some contestants, some conflicts and some images that they are given are just more appealing than others. I choose to think there is a bit of both but leaning more towards the second option. I honestly try to avoid conspiracy theories specially when they are disrespectful to the teams behind the cameras. Survival shows are extremely difficult to make, there are a lot of professionals involved and they deserve huge respect. But many kpop fans are NEVER happy and never will. sorryyyyyy, such a long comment again. MERRY XMAS!
@@chcc3934 hahha merry Christmas!! I totally get where you’re coming from with everything! The producers etc are just trying to make the show as entertaining as possible, and unfortunately that means that the contestants are seen more as entertainers than actual people. But hey, that’s the industry I guess.. Evil editing will always happen, but more-so in the means of making drama and conflicts far more exaggerated and on screen than they actually were. I don’t actually believe that any of them are actually evil, just humans with feelings just like all of us. It’s just frustrating to me that some contestants won’t get a lot of screentime cause they don’t draw in much attention from the audience. The thing that frustrates me, is that that is decided on ep1. After that they don’t really get the chance to prove themselves to the audience cause they have like 0 screentime😭
@Lololoetje i agree with you, i would not call it "evil editing" but "lazy/rushed editing". the whole conflict with the former TO1 members got a bit too much screen time and it could have been used to get to know better other contestants. With Project7 it was understandable to some degree with so many contestants. But here if i am not mistaken there are much less. The unbalance of screen time is an everlasting issue. I suspect it has more to do with cameramen, editors and writers not having enough time to do their jobs and just sticking to easier/faster narratives. I have experience editing and I can tell you sometimes editors make choices for the most stupid random reasons. Just to give you an imaginary example. CHIH EN might be having screen time just because he looks like a Tim Burton character (he really does!) and the editor might like Tim Burton or just remembers his name from this reason so he might always add some image from the folder "CHIH EN". The problem might not always be related to some obscure force trying to make a contestant happen, and more related to a team of editors having 100 hours of footage and wanting to finish editing early, get out of work on time and have dinner with their families. Specially at the beginning because there are more contestants and editors are not yet familiar with their names and faces. That unfortunately has a negative snowball effect, cause more screen time means more votes and then we end up with talented contestants getting rejected, and not so talented debuting. But i really believe with time everything falls into the right place, it is just a matter of persevering. And sometimes, a teenage VERY talented contestant not debuting NOW and having to debut later on at 20 or so, might actually be a blessing, specially knowing south korean work laws and contracts. Lets just be patient.
Great video. I think you need to upgrade your mic soon. Well its up to you now is it. Yeah the drama in this episode is quite large. Lol. Im happy your back😊😊

The libel laws in Korea means that if Kyung Ho did do something to Woongki he can't ever say it unless he has proof. And Woongki did say he didn't want to meet him.
@Lololoetje Woongki seems friendly towards everyone, so I feel like there is something. And when he left TO1 it was at first temporary due to mental health then he officially left the group.
I'll let you know the information. The company excluded three people from the team, including Cha Woong-ki, a cute image, because they changed the team image. He didn't want to leave the team. I heard it was hard for he. At that time, Cha Woong-ki was taking a break from the team's activities because he was sick. He made the team leave the company before he became healthy. He was hurt because he didn't want his team to leave. That's what we know.
