Hi Todd, thank you for taking your time out to make those awesome videos and for sharing your knowledge!!!! It is always appreciated the love for those triples will live forever !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for the mention again! I got a great look at the bottom of your engine and it's got different motor straps than Brads. Mag side mount on Brads is so far towards the mag side that it has (and needs) a chamfer to clear the cases. I'll show it when I get there on the video. Might be because Brad's is from a '96 Ultra SP and yours is an actual XCR engine and mounts.
Just wanted to say thank you for making this series of videos you helped me rebuild my 97 xcr600 sp and it runs great so keep up the awesome videos and thanks again. Carlos Cohan in central Illinois.
I made a piston stop out of a old spark plug, works good as ling ad the plug hole is straight up and down... still need the rope for angled plugs. Nice little series, good work!
awesome video Todd . yes that rope trick works i even use it when i change broken valve springs or seals , so the valves don,t fall into the cylinder. i don,t check ring gap much anymore either . today,s machining is a lot better and precise. as always cheers.
That's awesome to watch the engine being put together broken down into smaller section videos. Tell your son to slow down I would have liked to seen the chaincase being installed. LOL.
Awesome i have the same sled that i put a new bulkhead on 15 years ago now with your great info i will be rebuilding the engine have a new xcr but nothing sounds like a triple triple thanks u the man
Awesome build series . I appreciate you doing it . I’m sure your experience makes it look easier then it is . But most importantly after watching them and knowing I can go back and rewatch makes me a lot more confident in tackling such a project . Also I don’t have any inventory should I mess up to just go to the shelf and find a new jug . Thank you !
I look forward to every video you post todd! love seeing the notification! Better then any show on Netflix! Just finished my rebuild on my XCR 800 triple. Your videos gave me the confidence do it. fresh top end kit with gaskets, crank bearing inspect with new seals. bring on 2023 winter ❄️ Are you particular on how you orientate the circlip on each side of the pistons ? Service manual says opening up or down.
THE TRIPLE KING 👑 Great video love watching man keep up the good work. I think I have that book 📖 🧐 I may have a water pump that needs some love soon ? That’s Tim right?
Yes... I agree no one's perfect...,but strive for perfection! Is the best policy. 👌 I think the word perfect should be changed to 'Striving for Perfection 'cuz we all are not perfect... I'm not perfect either...,but Striving for Perfection!!! Thanks for the vid Todd!
Your awesome Todd. Just now downloaded you tube on phone, love your instructions and commentary on this video! And your sneak diss side jabs at ppl that haven’t held up to their word!!! You got a job for me if I decide to go on lamb and live in woods in Harris doing concrete??? Lmao jk
Great video love the humor so i finally bought a 95 rxl 650 with very high mileage its got good compression but for what the guy told me its never been open thxs tood for the great job also if you build a rxl ill still buy it
I never miss any of your videos and one question , do you plan on doing another vintage sled engine swap anytime soon Like wet basement ? Maybe another polaris sled of some kind 🤔
does the magneto need to lineup with something for the spark timing to be correct, I am having trouble with mine, and we are wondering if we some how have to reset the timing using possibly a timing gun
Todd, were those torque specs specifically for a 597 Triple? Are they all different for the older 579 or the 679 Ultra? No need to list them now…just wondering…Thanks!!
Good build man. Thanks for sharing. I have nothing but positive things to say about your channel. Share. With my triple loving friends all the time. Keep up the good work. What power r u putting in the 94 ???
You need a neighbor? I have a few triples im always playing around with. It would be cool to have someone near buy to answer a few questions time to time.🤣 Polaris triples are not the cool thing where I live and nobody works on /wants them around here so I'm kind of the odd ball in my neck of the woods. Love the videos you're doing great with them
Hi Todd, thank you for taking your time out to make those awesome videos and for sharing your knowledge!!!! It is always appreciated the love for those triples will live forever !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Glad you like them!
More than happy I found your channel!! I have 3 XLT's myself, 2 wedge chassis and an agressive chassis. These videos have helped me tremendously!!
Glad I can help and thanks for watching
Thank you "Tripple King" for this awesome video... keep up this awesome work
Thanks Adam I appreciate that

Wedge straps and the agressive straps are different. Also they can be easily put the wrong side of the engine and still look right. 😂😂😂 I know
Another great engine build video! Thanks for sharing those torque specs my friend!
Just wanted to say thank you for making this series of videos you helped me rebuild my 97 xcr600 sp and it runs great so keep up the awesome videos and thanks again. Carlos Cohan in central Illinois.
I'm glad this helped
your rope trick works but as many engines as you do you should get a spanner wrench. the rope risks taking the crank out of alignment
I was just trying to show a way thats kinda backyardish like me 😁😁
I made a piston stop out of a old spark plug, works good as ling ad the plug hole is straight up and down... still need the rope for angled plugs.
Nice little series, good work!
Great idea thanks for sharing that
Great motor build series, the blue on rxl looks sharp. I cannot believe how.good of shape that rxl seat is in. Thanks for keeping the triples alive!!!
Thanks so much for your support
Great video series, look forward to the sled being all together!
Very soon!
awesome video Todd . yes that rope trick works i even use it when i change broken valve springs or seals , so the valves don,t fall into the cylinder. i don,t check ring gap much anymore either . today,s machining is a lot better and precise. as always cheers.
I just figured I better cover checking it. Definitely a good step to do. 🍻
Nice build there going to b absolutely happy with it! Ya know fireball is good in coffee Lol
I'll have to give it a try 😂😂
Thanks for the torque specs .. and ring end gap spec ... don't forget to put the rest of the head bolts in on the left cylinder on this one ...
No problem and I have it noted
Snap-On torque wrench ! Too cool.
Thanks for the information Todd! On your motor building videos very helpful 👍
Glad to help
That's awesome to watch the engine being put together broken down into smaller section videos. Tell your son to slow down I would have liked to seen the chaincase being installed. LOL.
We have plenty of sleds being built this spring to show one. 😂
@9:40 the 5th bolt counting from left to right looks loose. When you were talking about the double ended wrench.
Yes they are. That cylinder is only sitting on it till a new one shows up. The water cover bolts are loose also. Attention to detail you have 😁😁
@@toddclyne3493 a trained observer. Lol.
Thanks buddy
Anytime 😁😁
I'm resto-modding one of my '94 XLT's. You give out a lot of good tips/ info. thanks.
Anytime
Thanks for sharing Todd!
My pleasure
Awesome series, thank you for sharing your knowledge and looking forward to seeing the rest of the build.
Thanks for watching!

😂😂😂

Good luck with your build and yes having the inventory definitely is a plus 😁
Awsome Todd that rxl looks good also , that ultra engine would look good in that RXL 😎😁
😁😁😁
Great videos, always helpful. Keep it going.
Glad you like them!
Right on Todd 🍻 nice work 👍
Thanks buddy 🍻
Hey, just noticed your right cylinder looking at it from the exhaust port side has one nut that's not tightened
Yep that's the substitute cylinder till the correct one shows up this week 😁😁
I look forward to every video you post todd!
love seeing the notification!

I usually put it up. Thanks so much for enjoying what I love to do
great to see you back 🤘🍻
Hey, thanks!
@@toddclyne3493 well be having a beer one day soon we’re kinda neighbors
Awesome video. Would be great to see a video of your knowledge and opinion on suspension on this era sleds. Extra 10vs12 etc..
Noted!
THE TRIPLE KING 👑 Great video love watching man keep up the good work. I think I have that book 📖 🧐 I may have a water pump that needs some love soon ? That’s Tim right?

Great video's. Like the "Keep it simple" approach. A lot of hard work though, I'm sure! Becoming a big Polaris fan!
I try to keep as much of it I can simple as possible 😁
Great video love the humor so i finally bought a 95 rxl 650 with very high mileage its got good compression but for what the guy told me its never been open thxs tood for the great job also if you build a rxl ill still buy it
Ill keep it mind but probably low on the list right now 😁
Had a quick mod you mite like put some door edge moulding on sharp aluminum belly pan save your arms
Great idea
Great video. Do you ever use aby locktight or thread sealer on bolts? Or none required, torque specs good enough?
I don't use either
Do a tool box tour
That would be boring for most 😂😂
I never miss any of your videos and one question , do you plan on doing another vintage sled engine swap anytime soon Like wet basement ? Maybe another polaris sled of some kind 🤔
Not sure I already have three project sleds in the works. 😁
does the magneto need to lineup with something for the spark timing to be correct, I am having trouble with mine, and we are wondering if we some how have to reset the timing using possibly a timing gun
The stator need to line up with the case indicating notch. The flywheel keys on.
Todd, were those torque specs specifically for a 597 Triple? Are they all different for the older 579 or the 679 Ultra? No need to list them now…just wondering…Thanks!!
Nope they pretty much cover any thing with that bolt size
Good build man. Thanks for sharing. I have nothing but positive things to say about your channel. Share. With my triple loving friends all the time. Keep up the good work. What power r u putting in the 94 ???
The 94 is only going to be used for parts. Thanks for sharing my videos so much
You need a neighbor? I have a few triples im always playing around with. Thanks a ton 😁
I could a just gave ya a fresh one of these haha
Lol that wouldn't be any fun 😁😁
Question Todd, how many beers does it take to rebuild a triple?
Maybe 3 total the the two days I worked on it. 🤣🤣🤣
V-force reeds: worth the coin?
I think so
60 foot pounds of torque is equal to 2.8 ugga duggas.
🤣🤣🤣🤣 you would know
Polaris triples and Busch bear how could you go wrong same here
It's a win win in my book 😁
Love German torque. Gootentite.
😂😂😂
You forgot something
🤣🤣🤣
Not perfect, but pretty damn good for a white boy..👍👍👍😁
😂😂😂
First lol
🤣🤣🤣
